mrsmole's Journal, 13 Aug 14

Skipped dinner because of a very late lunch yesterday. Two sub 1000 calorie days coupled with a 4PM dinner, or late lunch/no dinner, depending on how you look at it, gave me a nearly 200 weigh-in this morning. Finally - a journal entry free from complaining! Woo hoo!

A couple of days rest from the gym seemed to do wonders. I'm still walking in the AM with the dogs, but it's not strenuous, about 3/4 mile, but every day without fail.

I bought a couple of triathlete suits online that fit perfectly and hold me all in so I can start upping my treadmill speed without the worry of my boobs, skin and fat jiggling around. Yeah, it's a little funny, but it mostly hurts and makes it un-fun to jog or run. But with these tri-suits, everything is held together like cement. I could do a trampoline with no problem!

My trainer asked me to set Thanksgiving as a loose goal for getting to my first goal of 100 pounds lost, or 180. At barely 200 today and 10 weeks to go before Thanksgiving. that's an aggressive goal. I fear that I am able to lose only a pound a week at this time, but we shall see.
90.9 kg Lost so far: 36.1 kg.    Still to go: 23.4 kg.    Diet followed: 100%.

You didn't skip a meal, you choose not to consume more calories. A simple but effective way of rethinking. Keep up the great work!

You are doing so good, I've heard those suits take a bit of getting used to.

Wonderful drop. That outfit sounds great, although I'm guessing it's fun to squeeze into it, lol. Your trainer is setting a rather aggressive goal. Maybe bargain with him and split the difference.

You are doing awesome!

Awesome drop! You have got a handle on it! Good luck with your goal. I wanted to reach my goal by my birthday in November. Now it looks like maybe a pound a week, though I was really pushing for two. I bought some black compression leggings which would also look great with tunics and my various boots. And a exercise top to hold the girls in too. Temperatures here in the 90s and upper 80s hasn't inspired me to put them on :)

Sounds pretty quick. We'll see what Thursday brings as far as results from the doc. You may just be surprised. Pulling for you, buddy. How's my puppy?

Thanks to all for the props and support! I will get there when I can, but it's godd to have something to reach for. Thanks for asking about the pup, NM. Mr. Wiggles' eye is worse. He was sitting minding his own business when the cat said, "I don't like the way you're looking at me." and swatted his face. Cats will do that. Payback for getting chased around the house. The skin around his eye is inflamed and red.It doesn't help that the other dog (Minion) keeps licking his wound it in an effort to "help". An e-collar doesn't help because the other dog is so little, he can just walk up while the other dog is laying down and lick anyhow. The dynamics of having pets is complex. Wiggles goes back to the vet today at 4PM for the third time in a week because the eye drops and antibiotics haven't done Jack sh*t to improve it.

Interactions between pets is interesting. My parrot yells at my dogs when they bark. He says Be Quiet Dammit! Be Quiet. Haven't ever convinced him to say their names though, but he mumbles quietly often so maybe he does and I can't hear him. LOL

Pets, kids, adults... interactions are complex.
