This sure is frustrating, I'm up over a pound from yesterday and no change since last Friday. Not what I was expecting. I guess that's the way it goes. I'm just going to keep on doing what I've been doing.

Yup, the daily fluctuations sure are a bitch. You are doing the work so the results are sure to follow. Some of my buddies and I like to call the scale the random number generator because it can be so sporadic. No worries :) Have a wonderful day!

every time i step on the wii scale it tells me that your body weight can fluctuate as much as 2 lbs - i find if i eat too much sodium esp at night the next day it is up a little- retaining water- so then i drink more flush it out and usually it comes back down- try not to worry

Thanks guys. I have my ideas as to what's going on with my body...I spent several hours cleaning out the garage last night and was very sore when done, I think I'm retaining fluid as a result. Plus constipation. When I was eating like crap, crapping wasn't a problem..... I spent many years cultivating this body I walk around in so I guess I can't expect to change it too quickly, it wants to hang on to the past. One thing for certain, I will continue to do what I'm doing and I will lose this weight. No giving up.

It can be frustrating but don't really only on the scale. When I first started I did not see any change on the scale for months! It's happening internally. Just keep on being consistent. :) Are you drinking enough water and eating enough fiber and protein?

Agreed, add some water and fiber and maybe a probiotic...you're doing great! This happens to everyone when they diet, up and down, up and down....PS scales are the devil!!

It is so difficult to "measure" progress by how our bodies feel from the inside out instead of using the scales as a "measure" of our progress. There have been so many days when I wake up and feel GREAT from the inside out - only to look at the scale who says, "You weigh in as 'heavy set' today." Jump in the lake, Mr. Scale. Ha! Ha! Ha!

"There have been so many days when I wake up and feel GREAT from the inside out - only to look at the scale who says, "You weigh in as 'heavy set' today." Jump in the lake, Mr. Scale. Ha! Ha! Ha!" Oh my, I couldn't agree more! I rarely weigh in because no matter how great I feel and how loose my pants feel, that scale always has to bring me down!

Thanks again for all the replies, you guys are fantastic. I thought I was drinking enough water, I get up 2 or 3 times a night to pee, but I will work on drinking more. I'm eating a lot of protein and I think the body requires more fluid to process and digest it. This morning I found a bottle of psyllium fiber pills in the bathroom drawer so I've taken some. It's just weird to me that I'm getting more fiber in my diet that I was before, drinking more water, and I get constipated when that never used to happen

Got on the scale this morning and it's not acting right. Insists I've gained several lbs. But then, running the roads and eating out.

I'm an AdvoCare advisor and we tell our clients that if they feel bloated to add water, probiotic, and fiber to complete the digestive aid process...the probiotic gives you healthy bacteria to push everything along...have you ever tried a cleanse? I do them every 90 days and I feel amazing afterwards.....sometimes you ust need to get rid of the excess bad stuff so the good stuff can thrive...just an idea :)

Could you be building muscle? Muscle weighs more than fat....

High protein will clog you up. Try magnesium citrate or glycinate, and that will correct constipation.

I just made this suggestion to someone else and will put it out here. Many are constipated, some more then others and going for an extended period of time results in impaction and a visit to the ER. If things have gotten so bad with the constipation, why not try the stuff the docs recommend you use when going for a colonoscopy. Guaranteed whoosh effect. Just be sure to plan on spending the whole day indoors.

ClassicRocker, I did just that, or similar, a week ago.....took some Ducolax. But I don't want to make a habit of it. And yes, it sure did cause me not to stray too far away from the bathroom! HtownMedicineWoman - I'd seen a post you made in the forums about that, thanks for putting the info. here again, I will check it out.

Ok on the lighter side, I been reading some of the comments, bout the curses of being constipated... if you want my opinion you can't do low carb and low fat. has to be low carb moderate protein and high fat. what you are trying to do is change from a carb burning system to a fat burning system. in a fat burning system you burn fat for energy. http://www.reddit.com/r/keto/wiki/faq
