I just don't know what's going on. I'm eating around 20 net carbs a day, no cheating at all, and I'm gaining weight. So frustrating. I weigh more now than I did 6 months of dieting ago. I'm feeling defeated. But I will carry on and see where it leads.
88.5 kg Lost so far: 31.9 kg.    Still to go: 9.2 kg.    Diet followed: 100%.

I fell horrible for you. I wish I knew and could offer advice, but this stumps me as well. I hope you get it sorted out soon. God bless.

How do you feel about checking in with your dr or a dietitian, and eliminate causes that are not linked to your current diet (like thyroid issues, or anything else that may impact your weight in this way)? Obviously, I hope you don’t have any such issues, and the best I can do is to recommend you to check in with a professional. Hang in there!

Too many nuts can tank my keto losses, or cheese or just too many calories. I do best on time restricted keto, mostly meat and green veggies. Higher protein is key too.

Meat with two vegetables.. really limiting breads, pasta and rice .. seems to work well in our family.

I don't eat any bread, pasta or rice, I eat mostly proteins and veggies, some nuts and some cheese. I don't go overboard on either. I had thyroid problems in my 20's, but that was many many years ago.

I am new and no expert. Firstly you did outstanding job losing that much so far. You already went through such a long beautiful journey. Experts say too restrictive and too fast leads to "starvation mode" aka your body will utilize everything. So, check your calories recomended and keep maximum 500cal deficciency. Allow one day a week to have full/slightly over intake. And give yourself time. You may choose intermediate fasting ocassionaly Or add 20min walk a day... I have at least 50 to go. Hoping to be as determined as you.

Are you in a calorie deficit? Find a calorie calculator that will input your weight, height, daily exercise and goal weight. It’ll tell you how many calories per day you need to consume to reach your goal. Possibly try paleo instead of low carb diet, I found it to be more nutritious because of all the veg & fruit.

You are doing great. Don't let yourself down. I agree to go your doctors just check with your thyroid. Also I agree that your body is storing and maybe your not getting enough carbs. I mean healthy carbs. I'm not on a keto diet but I eat lots of veggies and fruits more then protein. I eat maybe one piece of bread a day. I have yogurt or frozen yogurt as a snack. Wish you all the best.

I know I have been struggling with this over the years where my body first gets to a plateau and then just starts assimilating everything. If this happens again I plan on really watching my fiber intake and help it along with some apple cider vinegar ( just a bit in water since it can cause intestinal issues if overused) and a diuretic drink. Maybe some chia water will help too. But as others mentioned maybe doing some blood tests makes sense. All the best and hope you find what works for you.

unused protein gets converted and stored as energy (fat), try dropping your protein. be sure to keep an eye on your energy

I've been reading and listening on YouTube -- Jason Fung on Intermittent Fasting. He suggests No snacking, skip breakfast - experiment with longer fasts. They are getting great results in his clinic with various types of fasting. It might be worth shaking it up to jump start beyond keto.

Are drinks calculated? I know I'm having problems because I've been drinking my calories, first thing in the morning in my coffee ☕. I have to give up that sugar in my morning cup of coffee, as it's blocking my progress. As soon as the sugar container is finished...I tell myself. It'll be a few weeks still. But I come here to get inspiration. And I was thinking of fasting too, to give my weight loss efforts a good kick into gear.

I put my drinks in my diary calculator. I have my coffee with cream but no sugar but a twin sweetener. You can do this .

Drinks *are* calculated. Some are sugary, some are fatty, and even some that we usually think of as “free” have surprises. Like black coffee as an example - 7 mg salt

maybe you are in a calorie surplus otherwise you won't gain any weight
