4 pounds lost after 4 days on the Daniel Fast! I think my starting weight was high, the day after eating something like 4 saltine crackers I'll show a 3 pound gain. Anyway, this puts me at a new low (by .10 pound!) so I'm happy. Also loving the grapefruit for breakfast. I only bought 2 at the grocery store, you never know if they will be dry or sour but I lucked out with sweet and juicy grapefruits. Still not quite sure about hot water in a mug but I've been squeezing in some grapefruit juice which I like better than the sour lemon juice. I know people on certain medications can't have grapefruit, lucky I am able to enjoy!

Good for you, Fritzy! I love a good grapefruit, so glad you found some! Hope you also find some. Interesting ways to eat your veggies today! Too bad you don't live close to keyten. She would feed you an amazing and interesting meal fit for Daniel! 😁 At least you have the loveliest of kitchens to help you, dear!

Thanks Melisssa! One of my problems is I have always been a picky eater. Keyten likes a lot more food dishes than I do. But I've got 17 more days to figure things out and maybe even try a few things I wouldn't normally. I have veggies I will finally stir fry today and next week I plan on roasting some. I have a fridge full of fruit to snack on. I know what I am doing is healthy because everything is from the produce department - so no chemicals, etc. I have canned kidney beans and tomatoes, but I rinsed the beans before I used them.

You are doing so well! Maybe next January I will give this a try! I'm getting used to hot water! We have an instant hot dispenser, So I don't have to wait around. I add a bit of cool water so it a bit faster to drink without scalding myself. 😁

You are doing well. I am having hot water in the mornings using lemon, lime and orange squeezed in it. I have lost about 1-2 lbs but I'm afraid it is muscle mass according to my scale. Keep up the good work.

Thanks Liv, Melissa, Jcmama, SMK, Shirfleur - I appreciate the support. This is only day 5. I've joined challenges before and didn't complete some of them. I really want to complete this one. I had a nice lunch with stir fried vegetables and it was very good and filling. Didn't know I could get 4 grams of protein from 2 tablespoons of soy sauce! Protein is the only thing I worry about, I'm only getting about 25 grams a day so far.

A juicy grapefruit is one of the things I really miss on Keto. Enjoy those tasty grapefruit! You are doing so well on this.

Thanks Erika, Tatauu, DP and Keyten! One day at a time is how I am looking at this now. Sweet_riri - you can google the Daniel fast to find out what you can eat on the fast. It's based on fasts done by the Prophet Daniel.
