CrashtestDawnie's Journal, 31 May 19

So I’m almost back to where I was 2 weeks ago. I always log my food (weigh by gram and count everything!) I also started (since 5/20) to log all my activity. I’m very surprised that this app says I burn 3k calories a day. I’ve been eating 2k calories a day. So I’m technically at a 1k cal deficit everyday. 10 days of gaining and about 4 days of losing (finally!!) Don’t know what my body is doing but I’m just going to keep focusing on weightlifting and will start to diet more rigorously starting Monday. Go to get ready for summer!!!!
69.7 kg Lost so far: 25.1 kg.    Still to go: 0 kg.    Diet followed: Reasonably Well.

Finally showed up! I deleted my app and reinstalled it. I’ve tried to post my weight for 3 days now 😑

Exercise always makes actual downward movement on the scale pretty frustrating, if that's the focus. But eventually the body stops with the hissy fits and weight loss becomes more normal.

Take some pictures and measurements to document your progress. It might not show on the scale, but will show in other ways!

I find that this app says I burn way more than I do. I was putting everything down as resting and sleeping except what my tracker said I burned. I logged it as the actual time I was active, or as close as I could remember, and it ended up fairly accurate. With lifting weights my body isn’t as consistent anymore. Perhaps yours likes to mess with you too 😉. One day it’ll even out for you.

Thanks guys 😍 I’m really trying hard to ignore the scale! Ive learned from a lot of gals that weightlifting can throw your numbers off. Also, I’m not trying to “diet” right now. I’m eating as much as I want of healthy real food and trying to only limit the junk. Although it changes frequently, 1800 to 2000 seems to be maintenance for me when I’m very active. Which I’m thrilled with because 50 (⬆️) lbs ago I wasn’t even losing consistently at 1000 calories a day.

As far as the calorie burn, I looked up on Fitbit HR and I was consistently burning 2500-3500 calories each day. That would be going off of my stats and heart rate. I would think that would be fairly accurate but who knows 🤷‍♀️
