Steven Lloyd's Journal, 30 Dec 17

Christmas baking has been awesome....at least one belt loop expansion to the midsection. Getting back to semi-normal eating habits in a few days but started hitting a hard reset button on the activity front today.

Hit a new Personal Best (PB) of 20:56 on the elliptical for wattage versus time, sprint to 500 Machine Measured calories. Averaged +/- 263 watts over time period. 150 bpm avg heart rate (average includes 2 min cool down) and 179 bpm max HR. Very high sustained perceived effort during session.

For the last five months I have been at least +/- one minute off of my last PB pace time... was beginning to wonder if I'd ever get close again...

Happy New Year all!!

GOALS FOR 2018:
1.Lose a bit more fat, gain back some muscle lost in the last six months...Ideally keeping my weight the same.
2. Setting one or two new Personal Bests on the elliptical and bike would be awesome.
3. Travel more; knock off a few of my and my better half's bucket list locations.
4. Visit some old dear friends again.

WHAT'S YOUR GOALS??

My glad are to lose 61 more pounds to reach and maintain my goal weight, to save money monthly and to make wiser financial decisions.

1) lose the last 60+ pounds, 2) come off pre-hypertension and diabetic meds, 3) throw the bi-pap machine off the 22nd floor from an as-yet-to-be-determined building in downtown Raleigh, 4) 6+ mile hike around a part of Lake Huron's shoreline witheldest daughter in July, 6) convince five people that it's possible to reclaim your health in 2018.

Good luck losing those 61 pounds Kmking40 and getting into a sustainable maintenance rhythm in 2018. Also hope you reach your financial goals, which are by the way totally reasonable and within your control...good luck!!

There is no doubt in my mind 371to184 that you will reach your goals in 2018. Forwarned is forarmed...those last ten pounds are the hardest (and take the longest time) to lose but in the end will help develop successful maintenance habits for you. Also, my health and type 2 diabetes was my main motivating factor in signing up here on FS...I am still so very, very thankful I did. Love your last two goals too...walking is also fundamental to my maintenance program and hopefully paying forward some of the support and things learned along the way is an awesome goal for you. Now reach over your shoulder and give yourself a pat on the back for both losing over 120 pounds recently and for your positive contributions to the FS community...wishing you great success 371to184 for the many years to come!!

Way to go on that PB!!!👊🏻Sorry I’m late to comment but better than never. Good luck on the bucket list too! Me n dh need to get to Canada. I don’t like winter so I don’t think skiing is for me but I here Canada is a must see. Went there but just crossed over to see the falls on that side. I’d like to see Quebec and Vancouver before I die. What parts r u from?

No worries Misty :) We are near the Rocky Mountains just East of Banff National Park...big country, lots of space and outdoor activities. Great place to live!!

I'm just now seeing your post. Congrats on obtaining a new PB. My short term goal is to loose the gained holiday weight. My long term fitness goal is to workout with heavier weights as my personal fitness level allows.

Wow SW, 103 that's awesome!! When I did my age quiz it said I'd gain 1.5 years if I slept more and didn't drink as much coffee...

I didn't do the age quiz, I'll try to do that soon. I've just always said I'd like to live to 103.
