My wife and I are taking my mom to a dinner theater tonight...going to see Miracle on 34th Street. It would have been nice to see it before Christmas but I procrastinated scheduling and there were no openings until January. Still should be a good show. I'm eating light until then and will stay away from excess carbs in the buffet. Salad, proteins, non-starchy veggies, NO BREAD - NO DESSERT - NO ICE CREAM SUNDAE BAR this time. I will have a glass of wine with dinner. Enjoy with moderation.
Friday, payday, and taking off work a couple hours early. Not a bad way to start the weekend, hope everyone has a great day!

I think it's nice when you can extend the holidays after the 'official conclusion' of the holiday season . . . I still have several X-mas specials on my DVR to watch because it was too unseasonably warm and 'un-Christmassy' to enjoy them with a warm beverage when they aired!

Buffets can be so hard but you are a man with a plan so I know you'll do well.

Hang tight Jim, that buffet is a powerful temptation to over eat. Psych yourself up before you go and stick with your plan.

Sounds wonderful, have a great date tonight and just remember: buffet food is usually garbage (out of a can or thawed from a bag). But the wine sounds good...

Show was fantastic but was It's a Wonderful Life, I had the name wrong. Old dogs can learn new tricks. I navigated the buffet exactly as planned with no pitfalls, no desserts either, no bread. A first!
