I'm having some significant pain in my thighs if I squat or kneel and try to come back up. I think it's been coming on for a while, last week doing sprints I had to stop because of it. For now I'll stop jogging/running and stick to walking. Disappointing, hopefully whatever it is will heal up quickly and I can get back to it. But it's not all bad, maybe this will force me to really focus more on my core and upper body stuff.

It could be that you overtrained your legs. Let them heal and work on strengthen them to support the sprinting. Walking is great exercise as long as it's not painful. Keep up the good work!

hanks CatHerder, hopefully that's all it is. The soreness has been there for several weeks but whatever I did last week made it worse. Too bad my body doesn't handle things like it did when I was younger. Oh...to be 18 and indestructable again! :)

Give it a day or so and I think you will be back to normal. Oh Yes to be 18 again

at 1 point in my life I was a runner ,, but I stopped . In the end I had pain in my hamstring,, I haven't ran in probably 3 years,, but if I do, because sometimes I do sprints on the Treadmill, That hamstring wakes right up ,, let me tell you !!

Give your body time to heal or the injury will just drag on for weeks. I hope you feel better soon :-)

Now and then I have allow my body to heal a couple of days, particularly my legs. My alternative is to focus more on my core and upper body.

Not pushing while you are injured is the best thing to do. I noticed at my age (52) that stretching after any kind of exercise has helped keep the aches down to nothing and the injuries don't happen anymore. Now that we are mature stretching after exercise is really important! Stew Smith has a fullbody stretch that is 16 stretches that take about 30 second each and I never hurt no matter if I do a 100 squats or pushups as long as I do my fullbody stretch.
