A little cooler today. Perfect temperature, actually - 76 degrees. Guess who will be planting their garden this weekend?

Awesome!!! Hope no storms will bother your plans. I can't wait to get out and tackle my yard! Might put in some peas somewhere this weekend. I'm still leery of putting in much here as the night temps are still getting into the 30's some days. Looks like it may be only 40's this coming week. Maybe next weekend. I do have to mow my grass, painting is the priority!

Wholefood - your garden and my garden are two different animals. My "plot" will be just enough for 2 people to have a taste of summer. Hope you get your peas in.

It's warmer here, but now breezy, so it doesn't feel warm. LOL. Does that make sense? Sounds like a fun and very productive day planned. Rule of thumb around here is not to plant before Mother's Day because of the chance of frost.

Jilzee - that is called "wind chill factor" and it makes perfect sense. BTW - I used to live on the Canadian border and our garden date was Memorial Day Weekend.

Enjoy your time outside. I think I'll do some washing and hang it out. Ground still not fit to plant in.

Buffy, mine is just for one and pretty limited at that, lots of herbs though. In a former life I had almost an acre. I currently have 2 4x8 raised beds with veggies plus my asparagus. One has greens the other will have tomatoes and peppers. I'll tuck in cukes and some squash amongst the flowers along the fence so they can climb, some parsnips in somewhere this year. I am planning on building 2 more beds this year one for the asparagus. One for annual herbs like basil, I love basil and it did not do well last year. I do give some veggies away especially cukes if they do well as I can't eat that many but love them fresh and try to freeze some.

I'm with HCB. I think it's going to hit a low 50 today. Ice is almost off the lake.
