Draglist's Journal, 13 Nov 14

Wow. Less than 1200 calories yesterday and still up to 216.4 this morning. Going to keep hammering away at it. Have an executive breakfast meeting today, so will eat breakfast (no 16:8 IF). Will attempt to keep the day as close to 1200 calories as possible.

UPDATE: Got through breakfast and lunch at 887 calories, but did an unexpected happy hour that added 2700 calories of sodium and of course, empty beer carbs. But it was delicious and fun. Back to work this weekend and hoping for something nearer to 210 after my 16:8 IF and noon HIIT workout on Saturday.

Sodium seriously is the devil...I always feel when I've had too much and the scale always confirms it....such a taxing little mineral....

I'm not expert but I would guess the body takes time to adjust from a trend. Keep at it and your body will get the idea and fall in line I'm sure. Have a great day.

I've just started this week and I've consumed 1200-1400 calories per day. It's not that bad I have lost 6 pounds since last Thursday. But my official weigh ins will be Monday.

Sodium is the devil. Over did it with salt big time myself this week. It resulted in pressure up for the first time in months and left leg swelled up from fluid retention. Also they say with the clocks, Spring Forward, Fall Back. I think they should also say, Spring Lose, Fall Gain when it comes to our weight. Seems like our bodies wants to go into hibernation mode as soon as the weather changes. Hang in there, you'll get it done.

They should have a flush valve on the small intestine. Dang food storage anyway. Actually, there's some doctor in Denmark or somewhere who's working on exactly that, a valve that is surgically attached just before the duodenum that you can open and drain your stomach contents. *Raise my hand and swear*. The guy said he wouldn't install one for a bulimic - that would be unethical. Go figure.

I think it's in the movie 'the men who make us thin'.

NM - that is weird but interesting. Maybe unethical irregardless, it makes me think of ancient Romans eating then throwing up to eat more...or the residents of the Capital in Hunger Games movies. I googled the show, never heard of it before, will see if I can watch some episodes.

It's an interesting movie. The bonus is that stomach acids don't eat out your esophagus. I know, I know. Yuck. I agree it's unethical either way. The guy also did the movie "The men who made us fat". I think they're 3 episodes each. Made for tv. Both are on youtube.
