jmb3450's Journal, 26 Jun 14

One of my best friends in this world was found yesterday in his bed unresponsive, he was only taking about 4 breaths a minute on his own, my friends who found him started CPR. Ambulance came, he was taken to the hospital and put on respiratory support. He was septic, unconscious, in respiratory and renal failure, they put him in a sedation induced coma to try and give his body a chance to recover...there had been limited oxygen supply to his brain but it wasn't known what damage/effects that might have caused. This is a guy who's been through so much, he has no legs and should have been dead several time in the past from a medical standpoint but he keeps making it through stuff.

We laid hands on him and prayed hard last night, while praying his blood pressure went sky high and the nurses came rushing in, said we were stimulating him too much. I believe he was hearing our prayers and responding and God was touching him. Many many people were lifting him up in prayer. Last night around 10pm he regained consciousness even though he was in an induced coma and asked the nurses what they were doing. He's now passing urine on his own and hopefully they'll be able to remove the respirator today.

Why am I posting this on my journal? To say that God is good, He still heals and miracles still do happen in this day and age. And to ask anyone who believes in the power of prayer to pray for his continued healing and for his wife and family. His name is Brett Sigler, his wife's name is Bonnie. Thank you.

Jim

Giant Fat Secret hugs for you & yours & your friend. I have been wanting to include in my journal that I often pray when I walk but I have timid about doing so. Your journal entry has given so many so much courage and FAITH. Thank you & God bless.

Well I'm not really the God type, not to say I don't believe because I know there is greater things at work. I'm so happy to hear your prayers are doing such great things. I hope everything will get better for your friend and and his family.

Thank you so much Jim for that awesome testimony. Yes, God is still healing & working miracles today, though we often may not recognize them as such. This is one of those cases, & I've witnessed many like this too, where God's healing power was so evident it couldn't be ignored. So happy & thankful for your friend's recovery miracle, & please keep us posted as I know you will. Right now I have a Christian friend in the hospital recovering from open heart surgery. He's recovering very well, & I know from his reports that God is using this time to slow & quiet him down, & teach him to rely on God more than on himself, & that he needs to take better care of his body. I pray for your friend Brett too, that he will recover speedily, & that maybe God will use this to reach & help him in some way too. I have Brett & Bonnie on my prayer list now & will remember them often. Blessings to you & your family too. Hugs, Glammer
