Kenna Morton's Journal, 23 Jan 21

Well my housekeeper, who is working from home, sent me an email with a list of things I needed to do today since it was raining and she knew I wouldn’t have the excuse of being out hiking or at the beach ( and she said it with such distain). So I had to clean the Tupperware cupboard out and throw some of that stuff out— she said to no one who was listening. So I moaned and cussed her out under my breath and got the job done. Threw out 2 orphan lids and one orphan bowl. But it looks better. She did charge me an extra $20 for the extra consultation fee however. Oh well. I did tell you she was a prison warden in one of her many past lives didn’t I? Oops don’t tell her I said that.

In reality I had a housekeeper for many of the years that I worked. When I retired, she retired. She became a dear friend who took very good care of me. She even washed and cared for my uniforms and scrubs because she didn’t like how I did them. I couldn’t have worked the long hours I did without her around to keep me organized. She did give me assignments, small things that I needed to do before she came the next week. I would often come home to a casserole, or a meatloaf that she made and stuck in the fridge for me. When WE retired and she later became ill I created these little stories about her to put up on FB—- she loved FB—-and she got such a kick out of them. She has passed away and I miss her.

Lovely story Kenna; my long-time housekeeper died a few years ago also and, although I have a lovely housekeeper now, I still miss Concepcion.

I love your housekeeper stories, Kenna- but I'd be lying if I said I wasn't a bit fearful of her return. 😬😁

Never throw away Tupperware! If it is cracked, broken, peeled or chipped, it will be replaced for FREE if you find a Tupperware dealer. That being said, I need to take my own advice and find a dealer as I have several seals that have cracked.
