It was fun, though it got hot pretty quickly, even with all the shade. Houston Zoo was started 98 years ago, and the grounds are like a botanical garden, really beautiful, with lots trees, including many live oaks, so most of the paths are shady. A 10-minute drive from home, I will return, especially on cooler days. I also enjoyed the interaction with the species homo sapien. 😁

Well Jazzy, if you're ever in the neighborhood let me know and I'll show you around. Houston isn't a beautiful city, but there is much beauty here if you know where to look. And the zoo is a beautiful garden and home to many lovely creatures.

I did have a great time mountainman. I'm from South Louisiana, which is very green, with lots of trees, and I now live in an apartment with a balcony overlooking a parking lot so being isolated by this pandemic has really made me crave nature. It felt so good i was almost giddy. Definitely restored my soul.
