I finally managed 3 miles in under 30 minutes! I don't make the attempt often, but today I felt pretty good. I decided to try a shorter, less hilly, and faster run than my usual. This isn't very fast for runners, but it is for this old jogger! :)

here I go again being bossy. don't minimize that. that's one heck of an effort. you crushed it. come on. I'd be happy with half a mile again. haven't tried in weeks. I'm happy for you.

way to go and I would be happy if I could manage that - I walk. I don't believe I will ever be able to run again. I was one hour away from having my left leg amputated in 2016 when a wonderful doctor (woman) came into my life and said I think we can get this better. So enjoy your runs - I was once a marathon runner. Sometimes its the little things we take for granted that we miss the most wen you cannot enjoy them anymore!! Fantastic job...

Melissa, I have walked with you and you slowed down for me, so I'm thinking you are a natural when it comes to running. Not that I am making light of your accomplishment, only that I am not surprised that you are so good at what you love to do. And it is a big deal. Good going! 👏❤😊👍

Ravenseyes, I am so sorry you have gone through so much, but it sounds like you got a miracle worker to save you. I've never even jogged more than 6 miles, so to run a marathon has my total respect. I couldn't run for many, many years because of an injury.... I dont think I ever could again, so I know a tiny bit of what you mean to be grateful for what I have.

Hey, Becc dear!!!! ❤️❤️❤️ I think walking... Even super fast is easy for me. Running is... Such a greater effort. In fact, having made this goal, I don't know that I will push to go this fast. It just hurts! 😁 Maybe if I had a completely flat place to run, but I thought I was dying the last uphill bit! ocean_girl and newnameMM, thank you so much for the encouragement. I was so excited! ❤️

Yes!! That’s awesome!! Right now my 5k time is at 35 min and my average pace 11:30. I would love to get my pace down and am hoping that by shedding some weight that will help!! I use to be 20 pounds lighter and had a 5k time of 26:45 (4 years ago). I’d really like to get back to that.
