shirfleur 1's Journal, 18 May 20

So, I did a few calculations; I've been at this for 14 months now. During the first 7 months, I ate within 99% of my RDI and I lost 53.7 pounds, an average of 7.7 pounds per month. For the last 7 months, I've been averaging 10% over my RDI and I've lost 15.7 pounds, a little over 2.2 pounds per month. A difference of 38 pounds over the same period of time by increasing my caloric intake by 10% (no change in my lifestyle). I guess this clearly tells me what I need to do, doesn't it?

nice analysis. however, it is normal that your weight loss slows down because your metabolism starts to adapt to the new intake.

I live figuring out the math :). Your weight loss will slow down but if your like me you’ll drop the 10% back to the RDI for awhile to test it out. Losing 15# is still good though!

That is interesting. I find I need to be almost obsessed with the diet for me to be successful. I'm not ready to be that way right now. I have gained about a pound a week since the "lockdown". That wasn't bad after a month when it was just 4 or 5 pounds. But now...………..

It's tough right now Fritzy, and as we all know, it's really a mind game.

Well Chris, I wouldn't say it's "fun" but I do find it interesting and challenging when I'm doing it right. Not so much fun when I totally blow it.

I am doing similar calculations and realize I have to get out walking every day. For a lot of different reasons it will be good for me to go for a walk.
