The older I get, the darker I like my toast. Adulting = dark toast. Who's with me?

A food pic?! Lol @ Donald Duck. The toast looks good. I don't have it often enough, only when we go to breakfast twice a year and only cause it comes standard with most meals.

It has replaced my bagel since I am using 70 calories of creamer so toast until Christmas is over.

I like mine a little lighter than this but darker than I liked as a kid. Either way I’d eat this if it was in front of me right now!

But not too dark, that's pushing it for me. I don't eat toast very often, 'cause I like it with lots of butter.

Ha was thinking just that this AM with my eggs. Yes! And HEAVY with butter!

When I buy the dark rye break (Russian rye) I like it practically burnt! Don't know why. When my sister and brother in law visited me a few years back and we were having breakfast, he told me I was exactly like my sister with the rye toast! Other toast, just like it medium brown.

I do my bagels two times...never got it to burnt- but I'll try it. Some things are better when burnt- pop tarts come to mind. Pop tarts and marshmallows.

The pop tarts with icing? I like them to get a little burnt too. Can't remember the last time I had a pop tart or even imagine when I'll have the next one - but there probably will be a "next one" at some point!

Fritzy...is there any other kind? Lol. 400 calories for one pack and if a serving size is only one maybe they shouldn't be packaged with 2 in there. I love them but it's a rare treat these days.

There's more flavor in the darker brown... just like browning meat. I'm with you... Brown toast/bagels are a good thing.

I'm definitely with ya! My younger self would have thought this was burnt for sure. You toasted this so perfectly I'm about to drool a lil

kissangel- by the time I took a pic and posted it and grabbed my coffee- It was less than desirable. Of course- I still ate it all to be sure. ;P

That’s a perfect shade of brown for toast !!! More flavor and butter doesn’t turn it into soggy mush so kudos to you and I toast bagels twice also Same reason 😊 Poptarts were a treat but not for a diabetic one 🥺 Have a wonderful Merry Christmas and a Happy Healthy New Year 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
