Today is alive Day 731 – two years ago my Pancreas gave notice and my life drastically changed. It presented an opportunity for God and I to have a conversation about the “what do I do now”. He answered and I trust him to lead – mostly. I am grateful for today and all the ups and downs that have occurred since as some amazing things have come to pass. I have had to learn how to live and function to be near normal as I can be on a daily basis. From the joy of adjusting the food intake and being able to have pretty much anything to the sheer terror of forgetting my kit at home and wondering if I’ll be ok. I am blessed to have my amazing wife by my side that has helped me get through it all. I take nothing for granted today – Life can change in a second and be nothing like you planed it to be. I don’t waste anymore time on grudges or holding onto past wrongs. I try to make the most of every moment and embrace Gods plan for today. Life is here to be lived – not sitting on the sideline waiting for something to be given to me - it is the ultimate participant sport. I want to say thank you to everyone – whether you know it or not you have influenced me and helped me on this journey by your examples. If you ever want to chat and talk about this with me, I am always down for a cup of coffee. If you are struggling and wondering how you are going to make it through, I am always willing to listen and be by your side. I hope that you all find a way to be a participant on your journey and embrace this amazing life we get to have. Namaste.
