Debbie Cousins's Journal, 05 May 19

No weight loss today. Thankful for the 3 pounds yesterday morning, though! Yesterday, I ate all the RIGHT foods -- I just ate way too much of them! I also drank tea sweetened with Stevia ALL DAY instead of drinking my water. I went WSY over on my RDI yesterday, but stayed within my Net Carbs, got in my Water, and Fiber. I didn't do any "real" exercising -- not even my Physical Therapy. I haven't done it in a couple days. I DID have my little grandson for a few hours, though, and he definitely increases my activity level! Starting out with another hungry day today. Will make a more concerted effort to keep the calories down! Thank you, everyone for your kind words and encouragement. Glad to be back in the game!

Hunger days happens for me when I go on keto but usually stabilize after two days. I just have fats to help my ketosis going when that happens. You are doing well going back on your plan. So impressive.

Do you grow your own stevia ? Am gardening and just happened to think of it.

You are AWESOME! You show us how you get back on the wagon with grace and above all...total transparency. You never say it's easy, you just encourage us to do what's right! Thank you for being such a role model in good times...and in bad! You ROCK!

aww, thanks @Katies71! Sometimes I don't FEEL like a very good role model! Yesterday, I did well all day but then stayed up later than usual and ate a whole bag of popcorn! UGH! At least my weight was still the same this morning - but I sacrificed it going DOWN! Not growing my own stevia @Tash23, I didn't even know it was a possibility! I use the Sweatleaf powder packets. I know it is one of the BEST alternative sweetener choices, but I don't know if I should be having it in the quantity I was day before yesterday. Yesterday, I alternated glassses of tea with glassses of water. I felt better about that. @Liv001, you're always so kind in responding to my posts and in offering helpful advice! I love my FS Family!

Part of what makes you such a good role model is that you show your humanity, in bad times as well as good. We all encounter crises in our lives, times when we just let everything get out of hand. You shared your crisis with us, and then pulled yourself together. And now you are sharing your struggle to get back on track. We all know how difficult that is, but not many of us would be strong enough to admit it. You have my deepest affection and admiration.

This journey does have its up, downs and stalls - persistence is key but so hard to achieve; however worth it - teaches to prepare for long term maintenance. I did a little over 8K steps yesterday as well as OMAD, under 20 net carbs, drank water, etc. and did not LOSE one tenth of a pound!!!! but weight stayed the same so that is my victory for today. We will rock this together!!

Since it’s for tea not for cooking growing the stevia might be an option for you. I know you have struggled with finding delicious cola alternatives!!

You are doing awesome and I Love that you are human! So many groups I have been in the people are “perfect “ and never have any problems or obstacles then everyone else feels like crap because they are trying to compare themselves with everyone else and just get hurt. My personal philosophy is it’s me vs me or you vs you so as long as I just try harder today than I did yesterday I’m fine with that. Thank You for always encouraging everyone!
