Debbie Cousins's Journal, 10 Apr 19

Have I done my exercises? YES! These are all the clothes I have ever-so-neatly folded and prepared for pick-up by the Salvation Army. All of them are either "too big" (for me) and "too small" for my husband and grand daughter. There are NINEEN big kitchen trashbags (or boxes) full, weighing from 15 to 30 pounds each. (No, I didn't count wrong, there's a box under the two bags at the right, and I've added one more bag since I took the picture.) So, at an average of 20 pounds each, that's 380 pounds of clothes I've picked up at least twice todal! I'm tired. Can I go to bed now? Pleeeeeese?

WOW that's a lot. I've carted lots of clothes to the Salvation Army on my journey. I also bought a lot there as I was losing since I couldn't wear anything for long.

I'm having them come and pick them up, and they already asked me how many bags/boxes, so they could bring the receipt when they come. One step ahead of ya, @Kelley26.

I can't believe you had so many clothes to get rid of! Good for you for decluttering your life a bit!

Yes, a nappy-poo is well earned. In the past when I've donated my clothes - larger or smaller with these yo-yo's, I've always driven them to charity locations out of town. I didn't want to see me clothes walking toward me. When I've lost weight in the past I've tried to motivate myself to maintain the loss by buying more expensive clothing. When I regained I gave the clothes to Blondie. Seeing her in my clothes depressed me.

Wow...that is definitely some great exercise. Feels good to purge things from your house, too.

Maria Kondo is probably very happy with you right now.

Wow! Great work there. I am sure clearing the clutter makes you feel lighter and brighter and happier too. Time for me and any other clutterbugs out there, to follow your lead.
