Now that looks good! I've heard of folks going on high carb, low to no fat diets. I couldn't do it. I'd starve plum to death from a lack of anything worth eating!

Not to be a downer but your body can only handle about about 6 oz (30-40 grams) at a time and all the rest will be converted to glucose and if not burned up will convert to fat.

It has been said that people don't normally overeat protein. We just get too full. ( Special occasion's aside.) Bill, hands down ... that is one gorgeous plate.

22oz!!! I might be able to eat 3oz before having a horrible stomach ache. That is probably more beef than I eat in 6 mo. or more. I bought 3 oz a couple weeks ago to make some Hungarian goulash with the 8 oz of mushrooms it made 5 servings. MMMMM

That's a great idea Bill. Let us know what your glucose readings come out as after your test of the too much protein theory. Will be interesting to see, with the caveat, of course, that what works with your body may or may not always work for everyone or even anyone else.

Bill, I like the "real" Hungarian kind with paprika and sour cream not the hamburger stuff that American's call goulash that isn't. I grew up calling it American chop suey.

Hello you two! That looks delicious and would probably give me about 5 meals! Yes I'm back and peeping at everyone's comments. I'm basically using the food guide because I've changed from plant based diet to an Atkins/Keto approach and nearly had a friend crucify me when I was doing the 5/2 fasting which is basically how I eat anyway. In her ignorance of intermittent fasting she thought I woudn't be eating for 24/48 hours. Long story short I just got out of the hospital after amost passing out from low sodium, 5 days of a drip on saline and hospital food gave me a lot of time to think about what really worked for me in the past so that's my plan and why the beautiful hunk of meat caught my eye, Hope you two are healthy and happy. Cheers D

Bill, there are many on here who do and get to protecting their chosen way against all others. Big smiles. I know you know me too well. Would love to see you drag race someday, would corral my middle DD who has raced to come watch, or go to one you announce if it was around here.
