HCB's Journal, 16 Sep 12

Ten pair of pants, one pair of jeans, one jean skirt, one dress, three jackets, four sweaters, and seven tops!

Today, all donated because they were two or three sizes TOO BIG!

Ain't that amazing?

And, I seldom have food as reward...but my DH said I deserved a small Dairy Queen cone to celebrate the closet purge. And, since it fit in to my RDI, I decided it was OK for one day.

Grateful for:

- Donating most of my "fat" clothes
- Fitting into the smaller ones
- Staying on the path to health and fitness

I LOOOOOVE donating clothes! It's so liberating! Stuff you could barely button or squeeze into, and it's all gone, even though it may have been in your closet for years! Wahoo! Oh, and in answer to your question, I have one dog, Charlie. He is a West Highland Terrier - known as a "Westie". Other Westies you may have seen - one of the Target Dogs, and the dog on the dog food for Caesar Dog food. He looks like a white Scottie dog. He's 5. He loves to pee on everything and sniff butts with other dogs. He's my baby.

I had never got rid of my "fat clothes" until just this summer. It was such a liberating experience. So I say you did deserve a reward. And what could be more fitting than an RDI approved ice cream cone? Congrats! Here's to never looking back :)

I bet that felt great! I dropped off my two big trash bags full of clothes today and it was great to get them out of my closet. I agree with Evelyn, here's to never looking back!!!

The black ones are called "Scotties". They are not black "Westies". The black ones are Scottish Terriers. The white ones are West Highland Terriers. I never realized Toto was a black Scottie. I bet he's cute, though. And I bet you could tell me a lot about your cats and their particular breed!

Congrates on the purge! It does feel good. I recently gave three boxes to a womens shelter. I am not going backwards either. Now we have room in our closets, have helped someone else and have had a chance to see just how far we've come. One of my goals is to have no X's on any label in my clothes. We are both moving in that direction, woohoo!

Congrats.. and what an amazing feeling you must have had to donate those clothes. It purged your closet and has probably helped you set new goals.. way to go girl..

Good job! I need to do that too, my closet is full of big boy clothes I cant wear anymore. I have been tossing them in a tote on the bottom for that reason. I need some new clothes too!

I love a good purge, putting on all those old clothes and seeing how much I have lost. Now you have to go shopping.

It feels great to purge! You also realize how much space all that stuff was taking. The only thing I am having a hard time letting go is my t-shirt collection, I think I am going to do the quilt thing. I know someone that will do it for me.

I'm so happy for you girlie!!! I keep getting plus size catalogs in the mail. I order online because I need plus size TALLS which are impossible to find in stores. So I get a butt load of XXX catalogs every day. DH puts them in a pile for me but I refuse to buy an X ever again. Today is the fattest day of the rest of my life. Period! There is a Dairy Q within walking distance of my house. Yum!

CONGRATS!!! I think I am about to finally part with the things I was just too scared to. Now that I am in a 6 I think the 10s can go. I to just can't part with some shirts though lol. We had a quilt done out of some of my kids toddler clothes. It's a great idea!! I'm starting to hide my sons old shirts for a quit when he graduates.
