So it was nice to see the scale back down to 135.4 this morning. I get to that point, then fluctuate up due to poo or water retention. I'm hoping that by getting more fiber back into my daily diet that maybe things will start moving again, lol. Both my colon and the scale! I've been trying to do a lower carb diet, tho not anything close to Keto. It seemed to help for awhile. But, either my body adjusted or the lack of fiber has kept me stalled. So, I am going to make sure I get the fiber I need, even if it means my carbs are a bit higher. I still don't want to be anywhere close to the recommended amount of 250g per day, but I won't worry if it gets past 100g. Weight loss is not an exact science, at least not to me, because there are so many factors to consider for each individual person. I think most folks do have to tweak things from time to time as our bodies adjust to weighing less and a different diet.
I am happy that my husband has finally decided to make some permanent changes, for the sake of his health. He even signed up on FS, much to my surprise. I logged for him the first day, but he's been doing it himself since then and he has kept up with his daily date with the treadmill (dreadmill, as he calls it) first thing in the a.m. Yesterday, today and tomorrow will likely be blowouts for him because they are camping and he doesn't cook much, but I will make sure he gets back on track come Sunday. I am going to look into some breakfast and lunches that either I can prepare ahead of time or are quick and easy for him to prepare now that I will have a few days off. Breakfast will be the most challenging since he's not a huge fan of eggs. He does need to watch his carbs since he's diabetic, so his staples of bagels and cereal need to be changed. I can cook for him on my days off, but when I work, I am generally gone by the time he gets up. I don't get up in time to cook my own breakfast, I sure can't do it for him, lol.
I am having a girl's night out with one of my best friends since the boys are gone. Looking forward to that, altho it will likely put me above my calories since we will be eating at a brewery that has a food truck there. Of course, I'll have to indulge in one of their ciders!! I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend and stays on track with their respective goals!

It's all about balance - adding something here and then deducting something there.

You know what works for you, so do that tweaking if you need it. I know I have to experiment for myself too so I can find the right balance. It's great that your hubby is joining you on the journey! My hubby doesn't like to make breakfast in the morning, so he likes to do the protein shakes and some fruit. I use the shake mix and make protein pancakes, which aren't as good as the real thing, but filling and good with some fruit and/or peanut butter. : )

He is EddieS68. He likely won't journal, but he has posted a few pics of food and his weight, of course. Any encouragement would be great!

For me, I haven't figured out the role of fiber but I do know that WATER is huge for me. The more I drink the better I feel and the better I lose.

Oh, getting enough water is a challenge for me! I have a tracker for it too, but I often fall short of the goal!
