I'm doing a lot better on cutting down the amount of food I'm eating. I skip breakfast a lot though (due to the fact that I sleep in late-unemployment blues). I'm eating more fruits, veggies and proteins (less of the carbs I love) but I still need to work on eating better...and
not
eating late at night.
Also doing a lot better about getting out to the gym or other exercise. (Do I get to count the times dancing around my house to the radio when I'm alone? Oh YEAH!) Today is cold and rainy and I'm not eager to get out but I'm going to do it anyway (in an hour).

Ok. Two pounds down. There's a start. I'm still struggling with late night socializing (which involves food) and that's the killer. Come on...how can you say no to a guy offering to make you a shake? Anyway. Wednesdays is our singles' lunch group. It's a BBQ joint today but I'm having salad.

OK This WEEK has been a bad week for a diet. Potluck Fri, Mom's house Sat, Birthday party Sun.
I think I need to just stay home. Nah! Not fun. I'll just have to learn the will power thing.

Ok yesterday's diet was REALLY bad. The snacks (cravings) are what killed me. What was I thinking?!
I told you, the grocery store cravings were too much. I'm going to go eat some Chinese now. And then actually get to the gym today. I'll update later.
(Jfyi-I mostly make this journal for me. Definitely not because I feel I have to tell the world everything (all day), the lime-light is not for me, but I share because maybe someone else can identify.)

I'm going through the grocery store, getting bread when I suddenly realize I'm craving everything that would NOT help me lose weight (donuts, cookies, something sweet and baked or a bag of chips, can of nuts...and no, I can never just eat a little). What's really vexing is that when I'm not consciously counting calories, I don't crave these that often...or maybe I just don't notice it :S
AND I still can't consistently muster the energy to get to the gym like I planned. I get exercise but not enough to make a real difference. :( I've been trying to start this diet/exercise plan for a few weeks now. Will I
ever
get a routine down, a habit? I WANT TO FIT IN MY CLOTHES, the ones I already have, not buy new ones to fit.
