Aggghhh, it's official, my pants are tight! First time wearing pants since May and they're snug and feel like they don't fit my body right anymore. It's not the pants, it's the body, lol!

I had a very active week, but waited way too long to eat and then had a few binges because I was famished and I wasn't eating many fruits and vegetables and more junk and grab and go meals.

I'll be busy for the next while so this weekend I have time to prep some fish, chicken and brown rice and quinoa for quick dinners. I had to throw out all of my produce that didn't get eaten last week.

I've officially gained 20 pounds in the last 6 months and now that I'm back to my pre-COVID routine, I hope it steadily comes off again. But I have to eat right as well, and lower my calories to 1,200 for 6 days a week too.

My goal is to lose 5 pounds a month, so long as we don't get shut down again. I haven't gone to Goodlife in months, and don't think I will this season. It's time to get cooking!!

I had a false reading last week, I mean it was accurate but I was fluid logged, do anti-histamines do this, I stopped Benedryl and got on Reactine 12 hours and my puffer use was a bit less this week. I felt a bit swollen last week.

Anyway I'm back at work, on location and it feels so good! I got my 10,000 steps in (actually 40 steps short!), and my body felt it as I had to rest my feet after work, so I went from activity to no activity after 3:30, lol!! It'll build up over the next few weeks, but I had purpose again, and that helps tremendously.

I've realized through this lockdown that my daily activity plays a big part in weight loss and maintenance. It's the physical activity, but also the busy-ness that distracts me from feeling hunger pangs, or emotional eating. I was too tired to go to the store last night for chocolate bars, so hey, there you go. It's easier to eat when you're hungry, and not notice it when you're a bit hungry, lol! And my activity was constant activity, not 1 hour and then stop, but maybe 10 minutes of stopping at a time.

And I'm an extrovert, so I feed off of the energy of others and being in a group keeps me focused and alert, it drives me in a lot of ways. But I do get to enjoy my down time as usual at home.

I hope to be down 10 pounds by January 1st, and then I'll be back in my goal zone. And if I eventually get down to 140-145, I won't have to work so hard at it (my skinny fat zone, lol!).

Oh dear, I knew I'd gain a couple, but not 5! Some of it is from convenience food (sandwiches)as my schedule has been completely off this past week. And now I know that my antihistamines and puffers do cause me weight gain. They make me hungry, but also I feel somewhat swollen. There's nothing I can do about it but stay the course this week, and eat more mindfully and try and exercise more than I have this past week. I had to have a COVID test before returning to work due to my symptoms (which were allergy based). I work in the education system so the only certain thing is that everything changes daily, so stressful. We'll just have to play it as it goes and count on each other to get through these first weeks. I hope everyone is enjoying these last days of summer. The decreasing light and temp. changes are noted! One thing I'm looking forward to is losing weight because I'll be very active again, the first months of lockdown were big weight gaining months!
