I am married (38 years) with 3 adult children and a 9 year old. She keeps us busy. The old saying "children keep you young" is not true! They keep you tired! I am a certified state child welfare case manager and have a stressful desk job.

Needless to say, between school, stress, child, and a desk job I gained a lot of weight. I have been at my heaviest several times over the past 5 years and it seems I was on a constant yoyo. I have hight blood pressure, high cholesterol, and have had a stent put in. My previous cardiologist suggested that I try a 500 calorie diet. I didn't last long before I was so dizzy I could not drive home. The, I went on phentermine. I had to go in twice a week for my blood pressure and heart rate to be checked. I could never get my heart rate below 100 and my BP was out of control. I quit that plan too. My cardiologist I have now suggested Keto. I had lost on low carb years ago, but the last time I did not have any luck. This time I went in with everything I have. I am losing weight, my blood pressure is normal now, and my heart rate is that of a 25 year old. Hopefully this trend will continue.

I look forward to meeting others who are also on a weight loss journey, regardless of their diet play. Watching others progress and seeing the different food choices helps to motivate me since I get lots of new ideas. Good luck everyone!
