Woke at 229.6, up 6.4 from yesterday as the water weight continues to pile on. After the dinner out last night, Jason and I went to where he works and we had a few Veteran's Day drinks together. Then, when I got home, I ate a bag of pork rinds. This morning, I'm still carrying the bulk of several big dinners (and water weight) as I'm still not successfully moving it through. UPDATE: Had a day of tests at the hospital today (a nice way to spend our anniversary!) Denise and I made the most of it by going out for a nice Afghani lunch to celebrate. We way over ordered, and I DID eat the bread. So I have no idea what the scale will look like in the morning but I expect to top 230. Today was supposed to be a 5:2 fasting day but I went way over that. Will catch back up this week with several low calorie days in a row. UPDATE: Ate some Greek yogurt with vanilla protein powder and shredded coconut a little later in the evening.

Bill, I can't eat pork rinds any more. They make me swell up like no body's business. It' s odd, but before I got my edema ... I could eat a bag of pork rinds once or twice a week ... no problem. I lost a ton of weight. I can't do it anymore. Your metabolism is broken just like mine. We can't eat the salty stuff. Drink lots of water.

Yes, I know the reasons for adding salt if you are doing a strict low carb diet ... but, if you are retaining fluid, I don't think it is for you .... or, for me. When I do happen to feel tired or run-down, I take a potassium pill and it helps me immediately. We all are different. Have to see what works for us. You are absolutely not broken. LMAO!
