Today I had a non scale victory! My husband bought some huge blueberry muffins at Sam's yesterday. He offered me one, but when I read the nutrition facts, they had 600 calories each! I said no! That was a very big victory for me, because I have a sweet tooth and love any kind of baked goods. I deserve a pat on the back. I am breaking my arm as I type this doing just that.

Good job! I have a hard time turning things like that down too. The other day I had a small muffin worth like 110 kcal. Kids wanted me to buy the bigger higher calorie ones but I chose the smaller ones. All about healthier choices. :)

You definitely deserve a pat on the back! I totally know the willpower that's needed to do that. NOT EASY. Coming from a fellow sweet tooth lol! 👍

Great job! But I’m with peeper! On my journey, I have said no at times, but most importantly, I’ve learned I don’t have to say no all the time. I can have half of the muffin, or at times a smaller one. If it fits my allotted daily calories and I’ve had my veggies, fruits and protein already and my macros are balanced, why not enjoy something I love!! That’s my way of living, not dieting. I’m not on a diet, I’m living a very active, healthy life for the rest of my life! 😊❤️😊

Wifey I love that concept and hope to be that way eventually as well! At the moment, one small muffin would set off raging sugar fiend cravings in me. 😡

You’ll get there squirlz!! It takes patience, consistency and determination. Many on this app have had serious issues, thank God I’ve never had an eating disorder, never binged in my life or purged or anything near it. I’m just really short, love to cook, love to eat and wasn’t always active or understood macros, or weightlifting. It’s been a very educating journey and I’ve loved it!!!! I’d recommend it to everyone. No food is the devil, no food is angelic! 😊

My first thought was like Wifey said...eat half of even a quarter of the muffin. I will say, since I read labels when I'm shopping I seldom bring home muffins anymore because they are often so high calorie. I only eat half a bagel cause I don't want to eat 250 to 300 calories. And half actually is plenty....I don't miss the other half. Since these days Hubby is doing the grocery shopping if he does bring home something higher in calories I try to calculate how much is a reasonable pottion.

I'm patting you on your back also :-) I can't just eat one bite I would eat the whole thing and more, so saying no is the best bet for me. Good thing it wasn't a cinnamon bun no way I could resist that!

Good job on turning down the muffin. My husband is skinny with a great metabolism and likes to bring home sweets too once in a while. I'm better off not taking even 1 bite but that's me. I'm actually better off not having any sweets around at all. We now order Farm Fresh to You fresh organic fruits and vegies so we both are trying to eat healthy most of the time.
