Tea Cakes

Tea cakes that are almost like grandma used to make.

Ingredients

Directions

  1. In a mixing bowl, cream butter and sugar.
  2. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.
  3. Beat in vanilla.
  4. Combine flour, baking powder and salt; gradually add to the creamed mixture (the dough will be soft).
  5. Drop by teaspoonfuls 2" apart on to greased baking sheets.
  6. Bake at 375 °F (190 °C) for 7-8 minutes or until the edges are golden brown.
  7. Remove to wire racks to cool.

Me & My daughter are eating them for a tea party!!! They are good... but at 96 calories a piece... Id rather eat something more filling!

Try not to eat all of them. I have to be careful because they are soooo hard to resist!
