Lost another 2 lbs today....I broke my 4 day fast today with breakfast only and tomorrow will begin again. I am deep in Ketosoes. Ketosis is a normal metabolic process. When the body does not have enough glucose for energy, it burns stored fats instead; this results in a build-up of acids called ketones within the body. Some people encourage ketosis by following a diet called the ketogenic or low-carb diet. Takes me 2 days fasting to get into ketososi an going the extra two days builds up my T-cells and immune system, keeping me strong and well. All of that without hunger. Incredible!
90.7 kg Lost so far: 8.2 kg.    Still to go: 0 kg.    Diet followed: Reasonably Well.

Fred, I support your knowledge share of a biological process that all humans under go. Every Biochem major learns this and it would be nice if we learned this in school. It is a shame how fat got villainized since the late 70s when the real war should be against sugar and processed carbs. Shields up Fred4win, expect counterpoints. Stay strong and glad you are back to contribute.

Great job! October; November; and December I did a lazy form of keto (LCHF) diet not really tracking anything. In this new year I have dove deep into it with tracking my ketones, blood glucose, calories, and macro ratios. I have also implemented intermminting fasting 20 hours off 4 hours on with one day 24+ hour fast. I feel great and more focused. Love it.

Ramblings of a madman. You can lose weight by eating like a normal person and watching calorie count. Fasting for 4 days is evidence of your lack of self control, you are unable to control yourself to eat properly so you chose not to eat at all. Dumb

Carbs shouldn’t be villainized either. I’ve always wanted to try keto but I always understood that carbs are a very good fuel source for your body. And btw just watch out for the keto wall. Some people while doing keto just at a point experience fatigue and grogginess for a few days because if the no carbs

I find it hilarious that ChickenPeanut's comment so knowledgeable and yet her bio is so secret. Also Joshuaross another secret bio, I have to tell you after two years doing keto I have found out carbs are nonessential for you body yes that is correct not needed for fuel. I have slowed down on doing the fast to only two days each. Every other day I have a huge breakfast then not any more eating for two days again. This is still without hunger and the fasting increases building of t-cellls and the imune system. Blood sugar and blood Pressure are under control. At 74 next month I no longer get out of bed in the morning full of aches and pains. It is now a great life and I know that all the keto people know what I am talking about. So sorry if non ketoers don't agree. Check my bio if you don't agree, it is not secret...we need to face our demons.

Hi it's me again! another day another dollar....rite? some people like keto diets and some do not.....I have a challenge for some of you that is trying to lose weight and never have tried keto or even not losing weight and are frustrated with there weight lose. If you are happy with what you are doing that is fine with me, but this message may not be for you...Others like me for many years searching for the rite diet that never worked out...by losing my health and not losing any weight, a few lbs and then gaining back this is a message for you...please check out (KenDBerryMD) on Youtube. Spend the day with him and then you decide. Approach this with an open mind and that may be life changing for you like it was for me two years ago.. Like me I believe a higher power lead me to this Keto diet after years of trying so many others.. Yes God given and I thank him every day....I love all you guys on here and I want to give you the same chance I was given. Go there on some quite time you have and watch a few of those videos, why because I know some one else loves you also.

Yes I like Dr H Fung and he is on target but his videos are much too long for a newbe to watch...I notice my followers don't stay with those videos as much as the 5 to 10 minute ones. Dr Eric Berg is another one that is great talking about keto also. Be sure to check him out when you get the chance.
