Slow going. I'm steadily getting my pep back after the pneumonia, but still get tuckered out easily. I think I'm ready to get back to my regular yoga classes. That should pick up the pace of losses a bit.

I had pneumonia once as a kid and once as an adult. I don't remember much about the first time except that I couldn't get out of bed for two weeks and it drove me nuts because I didn't feel that bad. The second time I couldn't get out of bed because I felt awful. As we get older it unfortunately takes way longer just like pretty much everything does.

Yeah, I'm a little worried about Hillary and the demands on her, knowing that I've had to conserve my energy resources for weeks! Hope she doesn't force it so much that she relapses. I have a friend who spent 6 months underpowered from it.

Pneumonia is very serious - please recover slowly, don't push things too hard as there may be a relapse. Take is easy my friend...

Thanks Sue and Frankie. My body does a pretty good job of telling me when to quit and rest. It does feel good to be gradually regaining a little spring in my step.

Also, I just can't push the dieting too hard, until I'm really recovered; it's stressful and not healing. Proceeding with moderation.

Listening to your body is key to your recovery. You have to protect your lungs and bronchial tubes. 😷 I think the fatigue reminds you to take it slow. I hear you about Hillary...had the same thoughts. Anyway I had pneumonia about ten years ago, spent a week in the hospital. Healthy food speeds healing. Get strong. 💐

The yoga will help restore balance, too.

Yes, Warren her fainting spell was very recognizable to me; I had one just like it.

Glad you are feeling a bit better! You are inspiring me to look into Yoga and Pilates classes! think I am past the Gym stage in my life. Facing reality...I have to walk, ride and find enjoyable exercise. Hope you continue to get better. I'm still mending.

Find a gentle yoga class. Mine is focused on over 50ish women. We support each other and the activity level is geared for us, and very healing. We all love it! and don't be fooled - there are some super fit and capable older women in there! Ask around and find a group that meets your needs.

LOL! Erika! OMG your yoga class comment gave me a mental image. I'm still 20 at heart and when I saw over 50ish women supporting each other.....my mind showed me a line of blue haired women in flowered mumu's holding each other up to keep from falling!!! Then I realized I'm one of those 50ish women and I am nowhere near the blue-haired stage.LOL!

There are some women in their 70's in there who are strong, flexible and centered - in other words, what we'd all like to be as we age. And slim. That's from doing yoga for many years. They walk the talk.

and they are in spandex, not mumus and not a blue hair in sight!

Went to yoga for the first time in weeks on Wednesday evening. The class went well, everyone there was o supportive of my recovery and happy to see me. I felt energized both physically and spiritually! Hooray for my wonderful yoga class, cohort and teacher.
