I saw your post on CICO. I'm sure you realize, in fact we have had some battles with one advocate of CICO, that most here believe more in insulin balance, and restricting sugar, and carbs. I believe specific foods are more filling, and even though they may have more calories, they keep insulin stabilized, and are burning fat cells, instead of burning carbs, that have been turned to sugar in your system. Some CICO advocates believe you can eat any food, whether it has any nutritious value or not. It seems a bit contrary to general health.

You are absolutely correct, Warren. 100 calories of oreos are DEFINITELY not equal to 100 calories of chicken or kale. I guess I used CICO incorrectly (I'm still a newbie LOL). I really meant that as I follow the keto program, I take a look each day on my calendar tab on as long as my calories in (healthy and properly balanced keto calories) are lower than my calories out (exercise recorded), then I give myself a thumbs up for the day. I am still getting used to all the lingo on here. :)
