Some days the scale lies, some days the lies are small, sometimes big. Pay attention to the trend, not the highs and lows and don't get too down or up based on a number. That's my advice. Big swings are out liars.

I just started Monday 5:2. Anxious to see how it goes! Are you also LC? How many calories do you have on up days?

Rckc: I have been progressively low carb over the past year or so. I have found myself comfortable with the keto macro range, which is 20g or fewer of carbs a day. I stick to about 1600 kcal in my normal days and bring it down to 500 on fasting days. Many say you don't need to count kcal on your normal days (when following 5:2 fasting) but I like to have a guideline and it helps me keep track of my carb consumption (since I'm combining keto with 5:2).
