Fritzy 22's Journal, 10 Mar 24

My weight is actually higher but I don't want to see it in writing! I really haven't been eating right. I remember saying I'm either gaining weight or losing it, never maintaining. I'm in the gaining mode now. Trying to start over again. Bought 2 bags of the salad mix I like so plan on making salad with chopped up chicken breast for the next few days. Had it yesterday. I'm also planning on using up the 10 cans of tomato soup in the pantry so won't keep carbs below 100 grams for a week or 2. Will post my weight on Sundays, adding a pound until I reach my actual weight. Hoping I'll be losing though.

Had a realtor come look at my house the other day. But she didn't tell me what price she thinks I should list it at, which is all I really want. I can find all the comparable sales myself online, I actually see homes on Realtor.com that I found more comparable. I plan on going with another realtor, but she also doesn't give me a listing price. Probably because she knows what I'm hoping to sell it for and doesn't want to hurt my feelings. But when I list it, I want it to sell right away so I know it needs to be priced right. I was able to reach the guy who painted kitchen csbinets 2 years ago and he agreed to touch them up (lots of nicks and chips that are my fault). He will also stain my front porch and paint in 4 spots in the house where I had drywall patched. With him doing all that there isn't much more that needs to be done before selling.

Went outside this morning and threw a ball for Bobby to bring back to me about 5 or 6 times since I'm not supposed to walk him with my bad knee per the physical therapist. I see an orthopedist on Friday so I will ask him about that.

I hope you can get a good price for your house. I am trying to lose weight again too.

Thanks Morticia! It's realky hard for me to figure out the housing market here. I was a mortgage underwriter for years so I know how to review appraisals. But in my neighborhood, which is gated with a lake and golf couse, price can be up to $3 million on the lake and over $1 million on the golf fouse. Then lots of homes like mine, in the woods anywhere from the $200's to $1 million if they have a view. This is the first time in years where I've messed up my eating so bad for an extended period of time. Lots of reasons, I think, but they still are just excuses. So far today is okay. Maybe because it was already an hour !ater when I got up so less time to eat!

Good luck with the house. It sounds like quite and ordeal so I can understand you not having that much energy to diet. We can only do so much sometimes

I hope you can get what you want for your house! Real estate is so tricky right now... As for your weight gain, I know you can get back to losing and as for maintaining..well I find it just as hard as losing. It's such a balancing act. Everytime I think I've got it under control and I let loose a bit, Bam! It shows me who's boss! Here's to hoping we can achieve our goals!💜💜

Thanks Liv! I've sold my 2 previous homes after moving out so the houses were vacant. I can't afford the new house until I get the money out of this house so it is stressful. I'll have to mlve Bobby's 2 dog beds and all the cat furniture, the water and food dishes a litter boxes when showing the house. I'm trying not to worry about it but thoughts keep creeping into my head!

I find Zillow has quite accurate estimates.

Thanks Diana! I just need enough out of my house to be able to buy the new house. Right now both my new house and current house are around the same price because of the upgrades and lot premium for the new house. Doesn't make alot of sense to give up a 4% mortgage rate and have to pay around 8% unless I can get a smalker mortgage. But I'll be saving more than $500 a month in HOA dues, fire insurance, property taxes etc. Just have to sell this house first! I think maintaining weight after losing is much harder. For me there is often so much motivation to lose. But in the old days I use to think I would eventually go off the diet. Now I pretty much know I will maintain a weight of 140 pounds (hopefully I can go lower) at around 1400-1500 calories a day but to lose I need yo be closer to 1000 calories. Hope I don't get comments about "starvation mode", etc. Right now I am pretty much sedentary and you can eat lots of veggies with minimal calories!

I’m right with you in terms of racking up the pounds with bad eating. I’m back up to 178.5. After a long break, I feel newly motivated and am planning on eating a healthy diet today and am also going to get some exercise in. Just thinking about today, I’ll face tomorrow’s choices when I get there!

your journal sometimes sounds like mine! I also weighed more than I wanted the scale here to show, so i put it in my journal entry. But eeekkk, It is easy to gain, hard to loose but almost impossible for me to maintain!

Thanks Pegster! Zillow has a value I could !ive with, Realtor.com shows a value about $15k higher than Zillow. The real estate agent who was here last week gave me a !isting price less by $25kfrom Zillow. The agent I will probab!y list with, she was my agent when I blught this house in 2011 gave me a range in line with the website. The market doesn't make much sense now.
