Fritzy 22's Journal, 14 Jan 24

Made my 1 pound a week goal! Actually 2 pounds since last Sunday. I just had liquids yesterday to make sure I could have the 1 pound weekly loss. I had a cup of hot chocolate early, later a can of diet Pepsi and in the afternoon a glass of cranberry juice. In between I know I drank at least 64 ounces of water, often warm water. Hot chocolate again this morning, don't feel like coffee. Will have an Asian chicken salad today and probably tomorrow. Roasting the chicken breast this morning. Yesterday was really windy, rainy all day and cold so no walk. See the orthopedist next week and will ask how much walking I can do.

sounds good! I haven't had an Asian salad in a long time I think I'll plan on that today also. Good job with the liquids, I can do that during the day but then mess up in the evening. Thank you for commenting on my journal.

Thanks JMA, I have been having a hard time getting enough water, but since I didn't eat solid food yesterday the water helped me from feeling hungry, especially really warm water. I just think no one sees your journal entries. You need some followers! I see all your journals because I follow you and they show up in my notifications

Thanks Liv! My goal is 1 pound a week but for the 1st 2 weeks in January I've lost 2 pounds a week. Maybe the shivering from the cold weather is burning more calories!

Way to go on the big weight loss! Not sure if I could make it through a whole day without eating anything, so kudos to you! Stay warm!

You must feel a great sense of accomplishment. I also enjoy drinking warm water regularly. Hope your doctor gives you encouraging news!

Thanks Broccoli, I sometimes have just liquid days, not a true water fast. Usually I have milk, sometimes juice, even Crystal lite. And even tomato soup! Because I had carb heavy hot chocolate I could have the tomato soup, also high on added sugar/carbs. I may have to do the same thing next Saturday as I am planning on meeting a friend at Red Robin in a few days!

Its pretty hard to eat light at Red Robin. I love the burger with bbq sauce, cheese and crispy fried onions, but when I go I try to get the grilled chicken version instead!

Broccolibabe, I think we are so much alike! Even our weight. That's my favorite burger at RR! The whiskey river barbecue burger. Sometimes I get the Bandai burger with a pineapple ring and teriyaki sauce. The friend I'm meeting is a neighbor from my old house so it's over an hour drive for me. The first time we ate lunch there I think was her first time there. She got the same burger as me and has never ordered anything else and we've gone to lunch there 30 or 30 times at least in the past 15 years. She's always aware of portions and bring a to go container. As soon as she gets the burger half of it goes in the container. Red Robin is pretty easy to log on FS. Last time I got a burger I had it wrapped in a lettuce leaf to avoid the 300+ calories in the bun. Still a lot of calories. Usually it's the only thing I eat all day.

I think you’re right, Fritzy! We ARE alike, even our weight! The Whiskey River BBQ burger is quite addictive! Bringing home half is a good idea, but if I’m totally honest, I might end up eating the other half late at night, even if I’m not hungry! How was it with the lettuce instead of the bun? The chicken version is good, but not nearly as good as the burger. And I’ve never tried the Bandai burger, but sounds tasty. BTW, we also share the love of animals and feathered friends and the daily ritual of feeding birds and cats (outdoors and inside). We have 2 kitties that we saved from the stray momma cat we’ve been feeding for years. We finally caught her and had her spayed. Tried to convince her to be an indoor cat but she was not having it. We have captured 5 cats so far and had them fixed or spayed. I can’t deal with all the suffering out there.

Broccilibabe, the burger wrapped in lettuce was not messy at all because they also have it in a paper wrapper. I don't think having the other half of the burger for dinner would be problem. My friend has shown me lots about portion control. I usually finish most of the burger at Red Robin because I am so hungry once I get there. Lunch at 11:30 tomorrow. I don't know what to do about Porch Kitty when I move. He/she is not tame after me feeding her for over 3 years now. Never has kittens or if a boy, never sprays so I think she has been fixed. She also doesn't show up during stormy weather so she may be someone's garage cat. I have lots of neighbors that leave their garage doors open just enough for a cat (or skunk or possum) to get in.
