Fritzy 22's Journal, 05 Jan 24

Was going to wait until Sunday to post my weight but I want to see a blue line! I think it changes when my weight is less than a pound from goal. When I reach the goal I'll wait a few days before setting the next goal, probably 15 pounds again.

Hot chocolate again this morning, it must be the cold weather that has me craving it

Congratulations on meeting your mini-goal! I love those, because I always give myself a (non-food) reward, like a new perfume or a concert or a new pair of shoes 👞

Thanks Liv and Unity!

Thanks Bananas! I still have .6 of a pound to go. I don't give myself any kind of reward when I reach goals , maybe I should think about it. As long as I can stay within my calorie and carb goal I'll eat what I want, avoiding things like chips, cookies, fast food (except for Jim boy's tacos). I've been thinking about getting a veggie pizza at Papa Murphys, already looking up carbs and calories..

can someone please explain the "lines"?

I love the idea of giving yourself a reward. Ive never done that except for purchasing new clothes that actually fit which i guess is a reward in itself. But i think you should give yourself something wonderful. Great work!!!!!!!

Thanks sandyeg, do you see the blue line under my profile picture? Everyone should have a line if they have set a weight goal. The goal is to get to a blue line! It starts out red, then it changes as you lose. Not sure of the order of the colors, but I think it changes from red to the next color when you have, lost 25% of your goal, then against 50% and 75% ANF finally to blue when you are within a pound of your goal. I didn't set a goal of the total amount of weight I want to lose, but set intermittent goals so I get to a blue line sooner. Once I change my weight goal, I'll have a red line again. Hope that makes sense. Some people pay no attention at all to the "line"

Thanks YOH! Like Just Bananas said, the reward probably shouldn't be a food treat. I really can't think of anything that is not food other than new clothes. I have bought a couple items of clothing the next size down to motivate me. They are still too snug!.

Maybe something fun for the puppies? A sweater against the cold weather? A new coffee mug? New towels for the bathroom? A really good quality pan? (We just bought hexclad and im sold on the difference between quality and what we had before now). Just some ideas…ooooooo a massage!!!!!

Good job on the blue line! I've been trying to go blue for more than a year but just can't get there.

Thanks YOH, I'm trying not to buy much new until I move. I do plan on getting a new cook ware set for the new house. New beds, bedding, etc for the.new color scheme. A massage isn't a bad idea

If you decide to go hexclad (Gordon Ramsey creation) i did a ton of research before i bought and costco had all the deals beat by $100 and also included one extra large sauce/stew type pan which is easily over $200 by itself. They carry them under the special events section if you decide to go that route.

Thanks YOH. I will check it out when I finally renew my Costco membership. But I doubt I will want to spend the money since I don't really cook much and only use the stove once or twice a weeK, if that for scrambled eggs or a grilled cheese sandwich.

Honestly all i use it for myself is scrambled eggs, pancakes and beyond burgers but so far, the eggs and the beyond burger actually are more tender and taste better. I thought, no way is that just the difference in the pan…then started googling it and lo and behold the quality of pan you use does effect the flavor and texture of food. I am not a cook nor baker but just wow.
