Lost two pounds this weigh in. In the past I had not been exercising "portion control" in my evening meal. I know this doesn't work for everybody but these two things seem to be working for me:
1) Carefully plan and "portion control" dinner
2) No eating after dinner - no exceptions.

Got to run - going out to breakfast!
77.1 kg Lost so far: 7.3 kg.    Still to go: 17.2 kg.    Diet followed: Reasonably Well.

Buffy,I know how you feel.When I started to control my portions the scale moved in the right direction.I have to work on that no eating after dinner.Hope you enjoy your breakfast. nonna

Yahoo for the 2 pounds lost..Congrats..now be sure to send to outer space or is it to hell when you dig a hole for yours??? Any way please don't let them float around just in case they want to come my way..have a great breakfast.......Bren

Sexy - This is hard because the original Atkins does not stress portion size as long as the carbs are in line. But at my age reality has struck. So my new mantra, Self-Accountability, must include portion control.

Bren - They are going to "Hell in a Handbasket" as my Mom used to say. I have no idea what that meant but it was always cute coming from her. I had a nice breakfast including fresh pineapple and melon - so will go extremely low carb the rest of the day.

Congratulations on those 2 pounds gone forever, Buffy! I am so happy for you! You are so very close to reaching a whole new decade, too. I agree with Bren - dispatch those two evil fat blobs straight to hell. Are you going to celebrate? Enjoy the rest of this beautiful day! Hugs!

Great news... It is surprising how we can fool ourselves that we are dishing out "reasonable" portions... It is also surprising when you look at food portions on packets, just how small they are - particularly on cereals. Weighing is the only wat to go.... If we don't our portions gradually grow and before you know it you are having double what you should..... Well done again, glad the scales are moving for you.
