Got a nice new low of 205.2 after 18 hours of fasting that ended with a massive pre-Thanksgiving workout. Did a full dumbbell circuit, push-ups, and tricep dips. In between sets, I did either 100 jump ropes or jumping jacks. Wow. That got the heart pumping! After the workout, I hopped on the treadmill and repeated my 65 minute HIIT workout from yesterday. Not sure how much working out I will get in this week, so I had to get a lot in today! Have a great Thanksgiving week, everyone!

Are you dreading Thanksgiving? I am. I can't help it that I'm a good cook and make the best pumpkin pies in the county.... or at least in my neck of the woods.

Hi Kathy, I am planning on a 5000 calorie Thanksgiving and still getting out of the month at a 600 calorie per day average deficit. If I don't end up using that many, I'm even better off. Will have a piece of pie, a full dinner, and several beers (as usually happens with my brother visits!) I'm taking it all in stride. This past week I averaged about 1500 calories per day in preparation...

Thanks, Madanjen, Breco, and Kattay! I won this round, but Thanksgiving comes next week! My daughter arrives Tuesday night, and I'm confident we will go out for dinner. And Wednesday, and then Thanksgiving, and then Friday and Saturday before we pack her back on the plane! Will make the best choices I can while still enjoying every second!
