Fritzy 22's Journal, 16 Nov 22

Decided not to wait until Saturday to weigh myself. Kind of a drastic change from stepping on the scale 2 to 3 times a day. I messed up on Sunday and wanted to see the effects of that. In the late afternoon I decided to get a molasses cookie from the garage refrigerator. I brought the whole freezer bag of 4 cookies into the house with the idea that I would put the remaining 3 in individual bags and put back in the garage freezer. Didn't turn out that way. I ate 2 right away! Then later I finished the other 2. Not happy with myself. Over eating snacks is a problem I'm trying to resolve. I didn't log them on Sunday but logged one on Monday and one yesterday. I figure it would help me control my calories by adding 170 calorie cookie. I can't explain how my mind works. Anyway, happy to see I am down a pound since Saturday!

A 2nd drywall guy is coming out to the house this morning. The first guy, who did the work last year said it would cost $800 to fix it. I feel like he would be fixing whatever failed when he did the work last year. 2 spots where it looks like drywall tape or paper wants to peel off. Hard to explain, I don't understand drywall. Since it has to be fixed I want to see what someone else says. The first guy is blaming my house for moving or something. I am on a hilly lot so I have some cracks in walls, nothing major but enough I asked him to fix them last year before I had the house painted.

Will try to do a morning walk. It is sometimes hard to get moving in these cold mornings. But if I don't walk early I'm likely to skip the walk altogether. Still waiting for Bobby's coat to arrive.

Sorry you had a cookie attack. It’s ok. You are right back on track and even pushing to walk in the cold!:)👍

I am not enjoying these really cold days. Windy too. We may get back up to more normal next week. Cookies are a weakness of mine.

thanks OVR. Thanks Navywife - I'm glad the cookie attack didn't really hurt me. I guess it just matters that it was just the one day and one time. I do love those cookies! I have to walk in the mornings otherwise because I get lazier as the hours go by. I got Bobby's vest, it's big on him but it can be tightened. Thanks Morticia - it was windy here yesterday. I think it's colder in my house than it is outside. It's getting nice in the afternoons. Love most cookies unless there are raisins in them.

I Soooooo understand the cookie attack! It's cold and windy all week. The pool equipment broke down and parts not available till end of week. Dr/Funeral interfere with lifting this week. No exercise has resulted in Foraging pattern at home. This is why I don't keep sweet snacks in the house! I can't eat just 1, unless we're talking about 1 package! You are still doing very well! I tend to really race off the track for several days if I start.

My local creamery makes the best egg nog! I get a big bottle for Thanksgiving and one for Christmas. My 14 year old nephew has some but I drink most of it. There are just things we like and do sometimes!😆 Can’t wait to see Bobby in his jacket. I’m glad you can tighten it!:)

Thanks Slyone - love "foraging pattern at home". I do that sometimes when I am going crazy craving either something salty or sweet. I know that unless I am going to continue to be a yo-yo dieter I need to be able to have snacks in the house but be able to resist eating them all at once. There are things I know I will not give up for the rest of my life. So I have to get away from depriving myself of cookies, pie, ice cream, etc long enough to lose weight and then go crazy eating it all and gaining weight back. I am trying to have the snacks when I am craving something, not just because I know they are there. Right now I have a huge Costco apple pie, 9 or 10 large molasses cookies, an unopened box of ice cream drumsticks, and new today a half gallon of ice cream (couldn't resist the sale at the grocery store). It helps that it's really cold here and to get to the treats I have to walk down 10 steps to a cold garage and to the other side of the garage to reach the freezer. I'm trying with sweets, at this point I know not to even try it with chips. I know I will never eat 3 or 4 potato chips - if I buy them I will eat the whole bag. So I am not buying them.

Thanks Navywife - I love, love, love egg nog! I will probably try not to buy any this year. If I buy a half gallon I will drink it within 2 days and it is so high in calories. I may buy some to take to my sister's house if I want to indulge. Egg nog and molasses cookies sounds good. Or egg nog and apple pie.

I play games like that with my food too lately. I used to log religiously but lately if I have a mini dark chocolate I don't log it..Like it doesn't count or something...lol Hope you get your drywall situation settled and fixed! 💜💜

Thanks Navywife and Wholefood - I remember my dad making egg nog when I was a kid. Loved it then, but now I just buy the carton in the grocery store. Thanks Diana. The 2nd drywall guy came out this morning and said just what I thought, that the job the previous guy did just didn't stick. Looks like paper or drywall tape is coming loose. He said it will be a 3 day job and will do it starting next week. It will be less than $800. They are only here an hour or so at a time waiting for whatever they put up to dry and then they do the wall texture. Bobby loved this guy who seemed to be a dog lover.

great!!! my new house walls will have some texture also less labor cost than doing totally smooth and it looks amazing,

Thanks Wholefoodnut - there are just 2 little sections that need to be redone. All of my walls have texture, no smooth walls at all.
