Hope your enjoy seeing the full moon 🌕
It's one of the sweets I look forward to at annual events. I usually buy it at a Chinese bakery, but this time I bought it at Ralphs Supermarket. Since there are many Asians in the city where I live, this supermarket sells this sweets about one month before the full moon festival.
Inside of the moon cake has salted egg yolk, lotus seeds, adzuki beans, and honey. It is a great balance of sweet and salty flavors.

How lovely! I used to work with a woman of Chinese descent, and she would bring us wonderful foods to taste to celebrate Chinese holidays and festivals.

that looks amazing! we are in an area with a lot of Asian people as well. we have a ton of Asian markets. ( actually, one of my Chinese friend...his sister owns one) I might check these out if they do not have gluten
