I'm really not sure WHAT is going on with this 1 lb. ever 4-5 days thing! Due to exacerbating my back issues, I haven't exercised in a week. I've eaten less fresh, healthy food and more convenience foods. Obviously, this is BACKWARDS week, lol!

On a totally different subject, my dad and I are finalizing plans to go to Cape Cod for a family reunion. I had hoped to take a side trip to Washington, D.C., but that felt like a bit too much too soon for my travel-phobic dad. Ah well, another time! It will be nice to spend some significant time with him. I've seen him every couple years for about 2 days each time. The last time was in late May of this year, so this feels like such a treat to be seeing him again.

I have to work tomorrow (Labor Day), but since my husband has to as well, that's alright. Have a lovely holiday, everyone!

Sometimes we cannot explain everything - accept it as a gift and say thank you. BTW - hope your back feels better so you can enjoy your vacation!

Slow and steady is good. Enjoy your visits with your dad. Hoe your back is feeling better soon. You might try some stretching and exercises for your back. It sometimes can really help.

Wholefoodnut, stretching is a huge part of my regimen. That only goes so far when you're dealing with narrow channels for the nerves exiting the spine plus scar tissue from previous back surgery. In 11 years I have tried more things than I can count. There is no perfect solution. Buffy, Deb, Sherrie, Momijja and Sweet Ce, Thanks!! I plan to enjoy that time with my dad, whether my back is healthy or not!

Just some thoughts, used to work for a psysiatrist who specialized in back pain and I did spinal nerve testing. Yeah, that would cause issues, more nerve related than skeletal. I have issues with that in my neck... makes me mad when my hands don't work right.
