Well don't forget to tell us how it goes. I would find it difficult not to have a tsp of sugar in my coffee for an example. So will you be avoiding all processed sugar? There is sugar in ketchup, bread etc. People with diabetes can tell you all about the hidden sugar in foods that you don't even think about.

I am also in the same challenge.... I just had sugar free syrup 15cals 1/4cup didn't even have that much about a tbsp on 1 low fat waffle. I will still stay away from junk food sugar ... but fruit and even normal foods have natural sugar.

Unnecessarily strict. Get on a sustainable diet. It's all about calories in vs. calories out. The law of thermodynamics proves this.

Alright now... That is a fantastic loss, and with the challenge you are going to definitely see another nice drop. Again, congratulations!

Diablo360, you still got youth on your side and some of us who have to now give up sugar once thought like you. Hopefully, you will learn from our mistakes about eating too much sugar, salt, etc. Heart Disease and Diabetes are real and comes in all ages, and I hope you never experience them. As one of the Fatsecret said so eloquently, "why die of something you could have prevented." So while it might seem strict to you, it is a "Must Do" for most of us doing it. Have a great day.

Good luck! Have you read "The Sugar Smart Diet" by Anne Alexander? I ordered it from Amazon. I think the publisher is Rodale. If you were living down the street I would loan it to you. He-he-he-he! Very informative!

Good luck! I hope for you that cutting out sugar makes you not need it anymore. That seems to happen for some people.

Thanks all. Up until the past couple weeks I wasn't eating much junk sugar, with the comfort foods and goodies provided post-surgery, not so good. So the challenge will help get me back on track. LCHF isn't what works for me so I'm not going there with it. Some folks do great with LCHF I'm just not one of them.
