I think I can do this one pound a week goal. It looks like that's what's been happening now that the last constipation bout is over and my weight is settling down. Averaging the past several weeks seems to indicate that I'm averaging about a 500 calorie per day deficit and I can live with that just fine, even if it takes 2-3 weeks to see the results, who cares??

I've been walking religiously with the dogs each morning for 15-30 minutes, depending on whether we take the long block or the short one, and depending on how sniffy they are. The sniffier the dogs, the longer it takes! I try to keep up their pace, but there is apparently quite a lot that needs sniffing that I'm unaware of.

Good week, everyone!

Some people would get very worried if it took 2-3 weeks for weight loss to show and/or stick. I think you have a great attitude when it comes to those bodily functions you can't always control. Why fight something that isn't in your control? As long as the overall trend is down, it's a win! Good job!

Good for you! It is hard to keep a good attitude sometimes.

I love your attitude, Thank you for your advice also. I am just doing the weight loss for me, I learned a long time ago that I can't do it for others, it doesn't work that way. I will loose the pounds gradually, I sure did not put it all on in one day. I started riding my bike today, what a beautiful day it was. I have missed doing this, see so much on a bike. I rode 1 mile before I even knew it and in total I did 3. It is a start and I felt great after doing this. I am watching what I eat and I write it all down. Somehow that makes me be honest. Have a wonderful evening everyone.

Mrsmole, laughing so hard at your sniffing comment!! Can relate, walking my yo pup is not in any cardio range ! Now if they had one for walk 2 feet stop and stand there!!! Now old pom mix he trucks along. You have come a long way, just stay the course and the firmer body and the pounds will follow in a healthy way.
