Goal met! I started walking and the weight came off. I still can’t wrap my head around this. I’m so thrilled and excited. I thought lowering my goal was a bad idea and I’d never see 125. I’m smaller than I’ve been since I was in middle school. Now on to maintenance. If you are struggling, just know it’s not impossible. ❤️

Can I ask do you follow exactly the amount of calories they said you can eat a day. I think mine was too high so I lowered it to 1200 a day and I go back and forth but as of yesterday I was sick so I’m hoping to start today to follow and keep going during holidays. Need some support and help on meals. So asking when I signed in should I just start but what the app says I should eat in calories whether it’s higher then I think. Thank you

Babs1213 - I started by giving up sugar, fast food, Diet Coke and processed food (including bread). I ate every 2.5 - 3 hours and drank about 100oz of water a day. My first goal was to just fit back into my clothes and I lost 15 pounds in 3 weeks. I used “Lean and Green” meals that I found on Pinterest, but I could only eat about 2/3 of the recommended portions. I switched to egg whites, Turkey bacon and started using reduced fat items. By no means do I know much about nutrition, but it worked for me. I also tried the Optavia program for a couple of months and it really worked, but it’s also quite expensive. That’s where I got the lean and green meals. The biggest thing I’ve learned is that it really is just food, not pleasure. I learned to say no to treats and snacks. It wasn’t easy, but when the weight started coming off, it kept me motivated. I hope this helped a little bit. You can do it too! It’s a mindset and the results are so worth the effort. You got this!

Did you count calories? And if so did you go by the amount they said you could eat on here or did you set a different amount for yourself

@keepgoing1234-I didn’t really exercise at first. I changed my diet in the beginning. I kept my calories around 1000-1100 calories. With protein and vegetables, it was a lot of food. Eating small “snacks” and drinking a ton of water throughout the day kept me from getting hungry. For the last 5 pounds, I really started walking around 10k+ steps a day. I ate low carb veggies too. No carrots, no corn, no potatoes, peas. I didn’t eat beans, oatmeal and I didn’t eat fruit because although it’s healthy, it’s still high carb and lots of sugar. I learned how to eat differently and didn’t miss the other stuff after a month or so.
