CrashtestDawnie's Journal, 02 Dec 19

Oops 😅 I’ve been eating everything in sight. Back on my diet today 😇 (side note: I got my cycle on 11/29! 2.5 months late)
This is my final week working at 75% of my max. I will try for a 1 Rep Max next week! I am excited!! This is my first time doing it this way. I hope it pays off! Usually I just add weight every couple of weeks.
My knees are hurting today. I knew they (mostly left knee) would. After dead’s I got on the hip adduction machine for the first time in 6 months. I did a set of 25 reps then when in my 2nd set I felt a pain right on the inside of my knee. 6 months ago I did the same damn thing 😫😤😐 The pain is not bad but very irritating and kept me from really pushing myself for months until the pain was gone. I never learn damn it!!! My back is also sore from going a little too heavy on the T bar row. I hope the knee pain doesn’t set me back. I’ve been working so hard 😔 I never found a pair of knee sleeves I liked but I did get a pair of wrist wraps. I used them for my heavier sets of dead’s yesterday. They were a little awkward but my hands didn’t hurt as much while/ after lifting so that is great! My hands look like a construction worker’s 😂😂

I did that in October. Shut everything down for 2 weeks. Cranked right back up and have been pain free since.

I upped weights and have slacked back the last two weeks cause I had a MAJOR tennis elbow flare from something. Too heavy? Idk but it sucks! Ugh. A ego hit for sure Chris! 😜

Looking good. I always worry about knee pain (any joint pain really) and lower back pain. Those things mean rest days

Be careful. Sometimes doing something 3-5x+ is more rewarding than doing that 1rm 😉 usually less chance for injury etc.

Why do you do it? Create a perfect formula so you won't have to work so hard and when you do it is a pleasurable experience.

There is muscle fatigue from using muscles not tasked in years. And there is also pain which is a sign from you body you are damaging a stressed muscle. Recognize the difference or you will be taking 100 steps back to better health. What you are saying sounds like something you should proceed with caution and have a medical professional consult before exerting yourself further...... just my six cents.
