Positivity there! I imagine there is hope! Most of us fully expect the scale is going to take a bit of a jump! Surely you won't miss out! 😁

Aww, Chris... That is rotten to have to work. Hope your plate is heaped with lots of good stuff. Hang on... Forget the "plate" you deserve a platter! Happy Thanksgiving, neighbor!

I’m gathering Thanksgiving is a very big deal in the US? Seems to surpass Christmas from the posts I’m seeing. Am I wrong? Why does it seem to focus sooooo much on food? Surely there’s much more to be thankful for and focus on that, as food seems to be such a negative for so many. Kinda sad. How did food get such s bad reputation????

Food is a big part of thanksgiving...mostly because it’s a large gathering Takes lots of food to feed a lot of people and usually who ever wants to fix a plate to take home is welcome to.......it’s a day to enjoy each other’s company. I love having family over, and some people overeat but most don’t it’s a time to visit and get caught up with each other.........I love thanksgiving lots of work but worth every minute ..... happy turkey day......

Wifey, food is a big part of everything here in the US. It’s often the center of every celebration. There is a lot to be thankful for and I don’t know how much of the thanks goes to the food today, but there is so much talk and concern about the food.

Wifey, Thanksgiving is a big family holiday. Sometimes groups of friends gather if they don't have family close by. The food is often about tradition....eating those recipes handed down over the generations. Everyone has their favorites. And Thanksgiving is the official kickoff for the Christmas season for many.

I know, I know...celebrated in England, on December 26th: Boxing Day was traditionally a day off for servants and the day when they received a 'Christmas Box' from the master. The servants would also go home on Boxing Day to give 'Christmas Boxes' to their families. 🙋🙋

It is a provincial stat holiday in Ontario only - in other provinces and territories it's not a statutory holiday. It is, however, a stat holiday for federally regulated workers and banks across the country. Retail stores will open early on Boxing Day and you can expect large discounts and large crowds.

@Chris-Boxing Day is when my precious 9lb12oz baby boy was born in 2001. I LOVE Boxing Day. He’s a precious gift from above! That’s what Boxing Day means to me! 😊😊
