Still holding on to water weight. It’s cool 🤷‍♀️ Today was deadlift day and I tried something different! I was watching YouTube, a guy named Jeff Nippard talked about why breaks between sets is so important and my friend at work told me yesterday that she thought I was using too much volume. So today I waited a minute between warm up reps, 3 minutes before the bigger lifts and I jumped in 20# increments and only did 3-5 reps no additional sets. I deadlifted 155 pounds!!! My 135# reps were actually easy!! 155 was heavy but I kept good form and lift off was smooth! Can’t believe I’ve been holding myself back by doing too many reps and not enough breaks 😪

I’m so excited about this!!! 😄😄 I thought I was just being safe with taking my time warming up. Today felt totally different. When I picked up the bar at 95# I had to recount the plates because it felt like nothing 😂😂 I thought oh shit! It on!!

Dawnie, those numbers are blowing me away! I don't lift, but I am pretty sure that's alot of weight you're lifting! Awesome! ❤👍😊

When you pass my 300# we are both gonna have a huge celebration :) I know I could keep going up, perhaps even 400#+ but, I am not willing to put in the work to keep pushing. *You* however, are a different person :)

@Becc@ - Yes, It is *awesome* because she is practically lifting her own weight! (and she will do more in the future...)

Jeff's videos have solid content and very informative. Rest between sets is very important; I generally rest 1.5-2 minutes between work sets.

Thanks guys ❤️❤️❤️ I didn’t even realize that I am almost lifting my body weight! I forgot that I’m not 200# sometimes 😂😂 My original goal was to be able to squat and deadlift my own body weight by the end of the year. I probably won’t make it for squats but I’ve got deadlifts in the bag 😁😁😁 Now if I could only make progress with bench press 😪
