Okay, I've been awol, enjoying the harvest season, while still eating healthy. Today I'm returning to my keto regime with a goal of losing 13 lbs by xmas. I'm launching this strict dieting season with a fast today for at least 36 hours.
I just got back from a weeklong vacation (a foliage season trip to Quebec - very nice!) that did involve some good food and a little wine. Gained 2 lbs, but showing a loss here from my diet break. I'm glad to have had a period of more relaxed eating, but now I'm ready for my next grind time. I'm back!
101.9 kg Lost so far: 25.1 kg.    Still to go: 11.2 kg.    Diet followed: Reasonably Well.

Missed you. Glad you are back. Quebec is really nice in the fall. Good luck on your fast.

Thanks, Liv! We were staying in St Anne-de-Beaupre. It was peak foliage and we found many lovely walks to waterfalls and along the St Lawrence coast. It was beautiful and festive to be there for Canadian Thanksgiving! We ate a nice meal out at a good traditional auberge.

36 hour fast. Wow. That's a strong start. Congrats on being able to record stable weight after this less strict autumn. That's a big win.

Good luck with the fast and 13 pounds by Christmas seems very possible! I have a similar goal.

Great start! I'm on board, too, with a similar goal. Keep up the good work, @erikahollister!

Thank you FS buddies! My fast only lasted for 24 hours, as I developed a scary headache. I didn't like feeling sick, so I ate. Well, anyway, I'm relaunched and going strict keto. Thank you all for the support and the welcome back from my diet holiday. If I make my goal that will take me back to the weight I was when I got my brain injury 2 years ago. I'm feeling stronger all the time, but I do still get bad headaches! Light sensitivity and fatigue. Working on it; never quit!

@erikahollister, sometimes, a *fasting* headache responds to a dose of electrolytes. Try a fingertip dipped in pink Himalayan or Redmond's Real Salt, or keto electrolyte drops in water. That worked for me. (Of course, post-TBI headaches are a whole different thing.)

A dear friend if mine lives with TBI sequelae that her neurologist equates to football players' multiple concussion syndrome. A real trial. I hope your headaches are rare.

Yeah, I tried the electrolytes. I take a product recommended by TX Phil call Salt Stick. It didn't touch the TBI headache, which is very identifiable because it is located always behind my left eye. It's OK, the 24 hour fast gave me a good launch.

Thanks, Mira. Actually I have headaches every day, but this one was a real spike. I'm on disability at the moment, because I can't be in artificially lit rooms or look at screens without sunglasses. So, it's still a problem 2 years out, but ever so slowly improving.

Sorry about the headache, but a 24 hour fast is good! I used to get headaches too, but I guess my body is used to fasting so I rarely get them and I drink Propel for electrolytes.

I took some time off a week ago, just did my weigh-ins, so I understand :)
