Feeling a little bit better today again...stepped on the scale and had to re-do it...twice I am at 280 today with all my clothes on and the binder on. I normally weigh in my pjs which are MUCH lighter than my clothes so I'll be interested in the transition back to "normal". I just can't walk around without the binder yet and I need to have clothes on to wear it because it will chafe the are where my incisions are if I don't so...clothes on it is!! Super exciting though because I've only hit 280 once before and that was when I was really doing it right. I was having a very hard time in the months before surgery...I just needed to get in and get it done with. The anticipation was killing me! But now it's done and I have no choice about following the rules...breaking them leads to disastrous events lol. And it just feels nice to be listening to my body again. Following their diet before was just hard and didn't really feel right. I had to eat when I wasn't hungry and not eat when I was...now I'm never hungry but I need to eat to have energy so...I'm eating for energy. And I'm mostly making my my goals...yesterday I was a little below goal, I just wasn't quite doing enough but I will do better today!!

Good job, Katie! The GBS was just the BEGINNING of what will be a lifelong change in how your body looks and feels! I guess things have progressed some in the past 13 years - I didn't have a binder, just a pillow I was supposed to hold tightly when I coughed so I wouldn't bust open my incisions. Keep pushing that protein for healing. Looking forward to you being able to get true weight readings when you can get that binder off and stay in those PJ's for weighing again. I do that, too, first thing in the morning after I go to the bathroom. If the scale isn't down tomorrow morning, I might have to weigh NAKED!

Thank you @Bella, I can only hope! @Debbie...you are killing me! Laughing still hurts at this stage of the game! I will absolutely not judge at all if you have to get naked...sometimes it's just what we have to do!! I'm not telling which of my weigh-ins were naked days though...LOL! Binder does help but I still need to do my breathing which I always forget to do. Thank you for all your timely reminders lol, I need to do my breathing and get on that protein!! I will keep pushing for better and better "scores" in this weight-loss game but I need to make sure that my strategies are sound in order to accomplish this!! A...burping constantly is no fun and B...I want this to be for forever! So I will keep on keeping on!

Good girl, Katie! Actually, weighing naked could be VERY dangerous, because the scale is right outside our houseguest's bedroom! Our HE houseguest who is now more like a part of our family, since he's been with us for over a year. Too risky! Hoping that 1.2 miles I walked today will help some tomorrow. I've also had several ... ahem ... "moving experiences" today, which should also help! I just can't believe I GAINED two pounds - 2.3, actually. I can't show a gain for the Swimsuit Slimdown, TOO, so I have to lose that weight and MORE by Friday morning's weigh-in! Botching ONE challenge is all I can handle in a week! Now, NO BELLY LAUGHING! (That's what I used to call what my Granny did! She was "heavy-set" and when she laughed, she would throw back her head and her stomach would jiggle like a bowl full of jelly.)

Oh! I am a belly laugh-er too...What is the word for belly laughing when applying the title to one-self??? LOL I actually shake everywhere when I laugh so I might actually be a full-body laugh-er...haha that word just looks too funny! I have to be careful about naked weigh-ins as well...the kids do NOT want to see that! Bwahahahaha! Thanks to everyone for the nice comments...they make it easier to deal with the horrible burping lol.

You should be glad you're just BURPING! For several years after I had GBS, I had gas that could peel off the wall paper! I once had someone ask me if there was a sewer leak - it was honestly that bad! It was so bad that it STAYED in the sheets from the morning and was still there when I got back in the bed at night. I'm NOT exaggerating here! I'd have given anything to be a burper instead of a farter!
