The scale is way up this morning. Probably because I just started my cycle 🙁😒 i will try not to completely eat my feelings today. However I found out my daughter’s bio dad died last night. They aren’t going to do a funeral. They will be cremating his remains and shipping them to his parents in Virginia. I wish I could have called out today. My daughter stayed home with my mom though ☹️

I know this waiting has been a struggle ever since you found out he was so sick. The worst has happened and the waiting is over. Now you can grieve and start the next chapter. While there isn't a funeral planned, you should still do your own ceremony/ritual to say goodbye and the let go of all the disappointment/resentment/abandonment/anger that is natural to feel given the history, to make room for the love.

Thank you all ❤️ It’s hard to talk about all this with my friends. Most of them don’t know about it, I never told them that he was going to die. It’s hard to talk about because I’m just about as mad as I am sad. It’s so complicated 😣 She never got to know him and now she’ll never even get to see him, not even in death 💔

Heartbreaking. A very similar thing happened to my mil. It hurts at all she’s. She was I her 50’s when her bio dad died. None of us ever met him. I feel some of the pain. The idea of closure is so important. I hope it causes her to be better, but bitter. 🙏🙏
