momma6224's Journal, 08 Jan 19

A year ago today I started this journey...I was so dedicated and disciplined and reached my goal weight in 5 months. Then I started allowing myself to wander...a step away, a step back, 3 steps away, 2 steps back, 5 steps away, 1 step back etc. My weight got down to 122 and now here I am at 132. I never want to go back to where I was a year ago. I have to find my dedication and discipline again. I can beat myself up (and I do more often than not) but i can also choose to pat myself on the back and realize I’m still down 25 lbs from where I was last year at this time. Thank you all for supporting me and inspiring me. Checking in here, logging my food and being held accountable is imperative to my success.

Thanks Draglist! I would like to try that...but it will take some discipline because one cheat meal usually leads to a cheat day and beyond for me. I’d like to get back down around 125 and stay there!

It's good that you're getting back on track before things get out of hand! You're still not too far from your goal weight.

Thank you Glantzkar! I definitely don’t want things to get out of hand. I’ve still been going to the gym 2-3 days a week and can fit in all my clothes but that scale number is telling. It needs to come back down and habits need to improve again.

I had to find a way to keep the foods I like in the mix - either a smaller portion or a good workable substitute into my WOE. You know what you need to do and you have made amazing progress. you have a lot of folks in your corner - I wish you all the best on your adventure.

The only issue I see is that u have not succeeded in eating one cheat meal and continue the day “doing well”

Wow, 25 lbs down? That's GREAT!!! Me, I'm UP about 7-8 lbs:( I think it's a life-long process, we never get to the point where we can say "I'm done." After weight loss comes weight maintenance, something I'm not very good at myself. You can do it!

New Year, Fresh Start..... ! You haven't fallen off the wagon just yet, your still steering it in the right direction ....(haha). When you get the chance, get to the gym and work off your insecurities..... Your right about food logging however, I stopped for a period of time and didn't realize just how good of a tool it really is in assisting with staying the course. You know we're here to push you when needed..... ;) Now go get em' !!!!
